## What is Wrap?

Share a Reel. Get a recipe. Free, and you can start without an account. Wrap turns cooking videos and recipe pages into clean, cookable recipes — ingredients, steps, and timings extracted automatically.

Save from anywhere Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reddit, or any recipe website. Share to Wrap from the share sheet, or just paste a link.

It reads what the caption doesn't say Most recipe videos never write the recipe down. When the caption is thin Wrap transcribes the voiceover, and when that isn't enough it reads the ingredient text burned into the video.

Cook, don't scroll Step-by-step Cook Mode with timers keeps your place while your hands are busy.

Shop the recipe Send any recipe's ingredients to one shopping list, sorted by aisle. Shared items merge, and the screen stays awake while you're in the shop.

Your recipes leave with you Copy any recipe to your clipboard as plain text and paste it anywhere. No export ransom, no lock-in.

Your cookbook, organized Favorites, collections, search, and filters. Try it as a guest — no account needed to start.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.4 — 2026-08-12

Recipes no longer open blank when the connection drops. If the details can't be loaded you'll see what went wrong and can retry, instead of a recipe that looks like it has no ingredients.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-11

Share a recipe as a card. Tap share on any recipe to send a clean image of it — photo, ingredients and steps — to anyone, with the original creator credited.

Your shopping list no longer turns up empty when a single item can't be read.

Cook Mode no longer offers to start a recipe in "0 min" when the source never said how long the steps take.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-09

Home now shows who you cook from. The creators you save most appear in a row at the top — tap one to see just their recipes, tap again to see everything.

Signing in and creating an account have been rebuilt.

After your first save, Wrap offers to back your recipes up to a free account, so they survive losing your phone. It's optional — you can keep cooking as a guest.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-07

Fixed the one-tap recipes on the Discover tab — some of them pointed at pages
that had moved, so importing them failed. They all work again.

Dead links now fail straight away with a clear message instead of retrying for
several seconds.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-05
