Hockey sticks is this *2022-03-10* Water softener company great. App to check status, garbage. It’s been several days since install and I have never gotten a reading. This means the only way for me to know something is wrong is to call the water softener company or have them call me. Either way is b.s. What is the point of app? Update the software! Update the software! Update the dang software! ### 1/5 — As useful as hot trash *2022-02-17* Opps! - That’s about all the information you can get from this app. They still have a notification from November 25 saying their system is down because of AWS (their hosting service) and that as soon as it back up the app will work again. I guess it’s still not up. I can’t imagine it being a very good customer experience even when it is up and working. The User interface feels like it was part of a high school project. Just not good. This makes me question the rest of the Evolve product line. The best solution to viewing data from your system is to visit the website and make a bookmark/app on your phone. Logging in that way works almost every time ### 1/5 — App crashes *2022-02-11* Still having issues with App. On the app, the only thing that is updated is: capacity remaining until regeneration. The rest of the icons are 0. The vacation mode icon is greyed out- unable to use. App crashes. It stalls to login into app. This happens about 2-3 times per month. The app will no longer show daily use. I have to go the water softner and hit the regen and next button together and do a soft reset. The company that installed the water softner is aware of the issue and they have reached out to Wripli. The water softner company has said they have also had complaints. I would assume since the last version update has been 2 years, that the problem will not get fixed. It’s frustrating to have to keep resetting it and also reading that people have tried contacting Wripli with no resolution. ### 1/5 — App crashes after login *2021-04-27, version 2.0* The current version of the app crashes after submitting username and password. Unable to report this bug anyway other than this review. No contact information readily found here or their website. It has been a year and no one will help. I can not reach out to the company directly. The company I purchased this from is unable to assist. The app crashes on login. I sincerely hope the company does a better job supporting the hardware they sale as the software support has been non-existent. ### 1/5 — App is TERRIBLE *2021-03-10* The app crashes upon trying to login and closes out every time. I have a brand new Water Softener that I specifically purchased and had installed < 1 week ago because of this technology and the app doesn’t WORK. I was able to use it for about 2 days and it stopped working. I have removed the app and pulled it back down from the App Store. Update: the app crashing was associated to a special character used in my password. Poor app development as this should be checked upon setting/resetting a password. Glad the customer is helping troubleshoot bugs in your app. And they have no idea of the issue. The LAST app update was over 1 year ago. This tells me no one is keeping an eye on this tool and they likely sub-contract out app updates as an in-house IT team should have some sort of oversight and view into the issues in THEIR services. Observations: upon login to this crappy app, you’re looking at the same identical view as if you were to log in to the web version. Nothing special here. Current Issue: upon login to the app, I get to the base page/my dashboard, BUT it’s been getting an error now for days. So UNUSABLE. CRAPPY! ### 1/5 — Ugh *2020-12-29* Constantly getting “oops” msg. Tap “login” and it hardly ever works. When it does it says welcome but can’t load any information. So frustrating and totally worthless. This has been going on for a month and a half. ### 1/5 — Crash *2020-12-29* Trying to use on iPhone 11 but crashes every time try to use. Didn’t work a year ago and doesn’t work even after the fix noted on the app page. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Had a bug in the system that has been resolved. If you have not already, please try the app again and let us know if the problem persists. ### 1/5 — Crashes after first use. *2020-07-11, version 2.0* Got this app to work once on IOS 13 and it crashes every since. I have gone through the Apple support help and deleted the app twice and reinstalled it with no change. Login doesn’t use Apple passwords nor let you paste in a password from that app. Login screen jumps around as you click on it. When you finally get in, the data shows all 0s. “Vacation mode” is grayed out. There is absolutely no function to this app other than it reminds me of my name when I login. ### 1/5 — Bad app design *2025-07-25* It’s a straight pass though to a web interface. Fix the logout and Ill give you 5 ### 1/5 — App display is not stable. *2024-09-17* When touching the User Name field the screen enlarges. When touching again the screen shifts around. When the cursor finally displays you have to touch multiple times before it will let you paste. The same for the Password field. I am using an Apple 16 iPhone with iOS 18. Background: I am Retired Software Engineer, QA Tester/Manager, and IT Development Manager. ### 1/5 — Oops we had a problem loading your page *2024-08-17* Every time I go on the app I get the message oops we had a problem loading your page it’s been 4 years this is the worst app !!! ### 1/5 — No longer supported *2022-11-21* The app appears to be no longer supported which is too bad as it gave me insight into my usage. Was flaky when it did work & required a reboot of the softener if it lost Wi-Fi connection which it seems to do regularly. ### 1/5 — Connectivity and app experience *2022-09-17* Horrible app! I have removed and downloaded the app again but it won’t let me log in. Plus the water softener it’s connected too is not able to connect to our WiFi. It’s weird because another member of the household is able to log in on app, but I am not. Very frustrating. The fact that the developer has not updated app in 3 years despite the poor rating means they really don’t care. ## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great App for Water Usage Monitoring *2021-09-15* I love how you can see all the water usage behavior going on in the home, capacity until it needs to regenerate, and flow rates. Also vacation mode is excellent for when we head out of town. ### 5/5 — Room for improvement *2021-09-13* Nice little app but lot of room for improvement, notifications for the salt replenishment is nice to have. similarly if we can have a notification to unexpected water flows helps us prevent the water leak at early stage. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback! Display is large so I can read it without the “readers” (gotta love getting old) .. tells us how much water we are using, and helps us to be more conscious about our water usage. My only feedback would be to add fingerprint or Face ID so you don’t have to type in password each time 😎 ### 3/5 — Pointless App!! *2026-03-30* Doesn’t work 95% of the time. Wripli provides a different app for that - not realizing this really messed me up. Take a look at other apps by this developer and you will see a wifi installer app. The experience for this app is somewhat poor as well, but at least the wifi functionality is handled separately ### 2/5 — App needs a refresh *2024-07-18* It seems to do what it needs to do, but very very basic. My dealer promotes the app with the softener, but it looks like it hasn’t been updated on 5 years. That’s pretty crazy. Responsiveness, login and refresh of data leaves much to be desired.
