The Y sound (й) doesn’t accept my mark above the letter, no matter how perfectly it traces the example. The Zh sound (ж) doesn’t ever allow me to finish the last part of the letter. It just accepts it before I finish. Maybe there are other bugs….these are what I found so far in the first 3 lessons. I’m using iPhone 13 mini, iOS 18.1.1. ### 4/5 — Good but could be better *2025-01-05, version 4.4.6* This app is good if you want to learn Russian in the English lettering but if you want to learn the proper Russian letters then this doesn’t help for example letters like д and ж are different than the version they are teaching you ### 3/5 — Wrong marking *2024-11-25, version 4.4.5* It marked me wrong when i tried to trace Y ### 4/5 — So close *2024-09-20* I’ve tried a few of these apps and I feel like this is the most helpful so far. The problem is it’s not good at recognizing symbols above the certain letters that have them. I spend most of my time trying to get it to recognize when I make these and probably 2/3 of the time, the program counts my writing wrong despite making the shape correctly. I don’t know if it’s not sensitive enough or too sensitive or not calibrated correctly, but it becomes frustrating fast, especially when you start to really get the hang of writing the letters well, but end up missing points on the test for no reason. If they fix this, it will be a 5 star app, no question. Even the free version is a delight to use as the ads are balanced well with how much app usage happens between each one. The audio is clear and pronunciation is good. The Reset Progress option is BROKEN. Russian alphabet has 33 symbols. Only 30 appear here. Oh, and the on iPad or iPhone does NOT appear as in the screenshots provided here. Caveat emptor. Make that mostly bad. Found more bugs in the testing section.
