Takes forever to reach end of writing. App crashes if I try to delete a writing from the menu. This used to be the best writing app I had, now it’s crap. ### 2/5 — I can hardly get it to work *2018-05-02* This was an app I had downloaded ages ago, back when I had an iPhone. And I seem to remember it working well. However, now I have redownloaded it on my iPad. A random blank file titled "Emergency" is on the app, and I can't delete anything because it causes the app to crash. I tried to make the most of this by changing the title of the Emergency file to what I wanted, only to reopen the app and see the file that I changed the name to, and a brand new Emergency file next to it. I gave this two stars only because I know I enjoyed the app back when I first downloaded it. But this is honestly impossible for me to work with. ### 1/5 — OK to Worse *2018-02-04* This is the only app I’ve ever upgraded to the full app and it is worse and less useful than the lite version. It recognizes the printer but prints blank pages. iPad and wireless printer. Would like to use a highlighting feature or to type text in bold/underline/italic but I can’t do any of these. I actually paid for this app! You should fix these basic features or delete it. I’m not sure why since I have Word, Evernote and a score of other notes apps to choose from. Nostalgia, I guess. For some reason Write had become my recipe app. It’s a good thing I’m not much of a cook, but regardless, ASAP I need to move my files elsewhere. No kidding, on her deathbed my mom dictated her fudge recipe to me which I put into Write. That was 5 years ago (already). Goodbye, Write. It has been so Long with no response from you? ### 5/5 — good app *2018-02-18* i was genuinely surprised to see that this app had such a low rating. it's totally worth the money imo. i love how you can change the font & theme of it and add a passcode. one thing i think would be awesome to add is being able to add pictures! i also think it would be nice to be able to set your theme to a default. for example i use the font helvetica and a black background, so if i could change that to a default and have all of my files open like that, it'd be even better. ### 5/5 — Help Me Please!!!!! *2017-11-01* I un installed and re installed hoping to solve the trash problem. Part of my job is keeping up with the preferences of the MDs I work with. This is the only app that allows one to make nested directories. So I can define a directory as 'general Surgeons' then have sub directories for the individual MDs with notes for the specific procedures they perform. An added bonus is access to DropBox. Which enables me to back up my files or share them with my fellow nurses. Great app developer! They actually respond to your emails! Wishlist for future updates. File folder sync with DropBox. Export to native Windows txt without having to reformat the document Direct sharing with other Idevice users either WiFi or BlueTooth. Auto update device notes with DropBox after changes are made offline on device and user connects Via WiFi. ### 5/5 — Minor issues *2016-01-11, version 3.0.5* I love this app but there are a few things that I've noticed. For one, when I go to rename a file after I just typed in one in the same folder, it tries to make me rename the file above it, even though I slide the current document to rename it. Two, when I save a document with a black theme with white font, after I save it then open it again the font turns back to black and I have to go into themes and set it every time. Three is not really a bug but it does bother me that I can't change the font color. I really like to write novels and I draw my characters so to get me into the character while writing I look at my art of them, but if I have a dark section in the art, the font will default be black and I have to use one of the default themes. So I suggest either a font color changer or a slider to brighten the custom picture. Thank you for such an amazing app! ### 5/5 — Other suggestions! *2015-12-12, version 3.0.5* I think that it would be nice to see how many text files you have in a folder. Like in your documents section, you will see your list of folders and files. Almost beside the right arrow where you tap, you could make it so it would show how many files you have in that folder. I also would like to see the dates modified system changed. Instead of showing, Just Now, Less than a minute ago, and so forth, I could suggest that you use actual date and time modified. In mm/dd/yyyy @ : format. Also when you create a new file, I would like to see at the top, a date and time created stamped automatically at top when you add a file to a folder. I'm big on seeing date created on files. This helps determine when you thought of the notes, or whatever. The date created is a must have for me. I strongly urge you to add this feature, and change the date modified system to what I suggested. ### 5/5 — Thanks for the update! *2015-12-03, version 3.0.5* I have been using this app from its pervious version. I'd stopped using it for a while though, because there had been some issues on the app(mainly crashing issues). Now it's updated and works totally fine. I'm glad that now I could go back to my old writings and memos. Thanks to developers! I like this app because it has simple U/I yet has lots of aide functions which helps your writing&reading(you can change font sizes and background images as you prefer. It's just small details but that's what makes this app special, I think) Password protection&sync perfectly with Dropbox.
