At first I couldn’t get to do anything but I found the little gear tool that very nicely gives you options and alternative words partial and whole sentences. I don’t have time now but I’m very excited to start using that portion of this app. If we can get the keyboard working I’d really be a happy camper and would redo this review with five stars because if fully function I believe this is gonna be the best app going as far as grammar help goes. So I’ll send support a msg with figures crossed that your responsive as u should be for $9.xx “Rightwright”? ### 4/5 — Right on, WriteOn *2017-06-29, version 3.4.1* Right on folks for a great application; used for prose, poetry, polemics, protestations, passionate appeals, proactive punditry, process analysis, and policy "wonking"! Love this app! The readiness of synonyms, antonyms and definitions are powerful tools to any writer under any circumstance! I wish that I had had this back when I was in college and graduate school (late 60's early 70's). This should be spread out to any colleges and universities , high schools that value the learning of the written word. This would be extremely valuable to teachers of writing and law. The only thing I miss is the access to web content to embed readily as quotations? ### 5/5 — Fantastic and easy to use *2016-04-22, version 3.3.1* This has been my go to writing app for a couple years now. It's minimalistic appearance helps in writing, so as not to distract or confuse. Easy setup, easy save. I recommend this to anyone looking to just write without hassle. ### 4/5 — Great App *2016-01-08, version 3.3* But could use some improvements. First of all, when I push delete on a file, it won't delete for me. Don't know if I am doing something wrong but delete should mean delete. It doesn't even put it in the delete box. I also find it occasionally doesn't work when you push redo if you deleted something accidently. Other then this I love this app for what I use it for. Still, it has some problems and lots of things that must be added. Like sometimes the app will return back to the top of the document when you are trying to edit something in the middle of it, then you would have to scroll down and click again where you want to edit. The ability to search for your documents is quite sturdy as well. The ability to add notes to your works would be sweet as well. This app has a great customer support, I highly recommend it ### 4/5 — Dark *2015-04-03, version 2.5* I really wish that you guys would add a dark theme, with the dark iPad keyboard that is available in spotlight. Currently, the app called Matcha does does. ### 3/5 — A good start *2015-03-26, version 2.5* As a writer, this app has a lot going for it. It's nice to have something geared toward people writing fiction. However, the Dropbox integration hasn't worked in over a year and I much prefer that to iCloud storage. Also, I use a physical keyboard to write and if I hit the down arrow when at the end of my manuscript, I'm looped back to the start. "Unexisting file - File doesn't exist anymore" error happened multiple times. I figured maybe the first time I did something wrong, but after several occurrences I realized this app is just bad news. Bottom line - stay away. ### 1/5 — Not supporting devices *2015-11-20, version 3.0* The overly specific list of devices that ARE supported should be a red flag. The iPad 4 has been out for 3 years (+/- 2 weeks), and the app stops supporting it? What is the point of purchasing an app if it has a shorter shelf life than some people's devices? iPad 4 is still in APPL lineup, sold by AAPL (possibly only refurbished). ### 1/5 — Looks good, but crashing.... *2015-11-17, version 3.0* Update: 11/17 - just crashes! Very, very frustrating!!☹️ Wish i could comment on use but the program closes when i try to save or 'open doc in' on my ipad 2. Hope this is fixed quickly. (I need this because I have a lot of documents. Sorting them alphabetically doesn't help - I need to search for text that's inside them.) ### 1/5 — Was fine; now essentially useless! *2014-11-10, version 2.3* Has stopped working. Crashes constantly. As noted in other reviews uninstalling and reinstalling does not solve the crashing problem. Luckily existing notes are on iCloud Drive so nothing has been lost – just not able to be read or edited using this app. Permanently deleting it. ### 2/5 — What happened to all my work?! *2018-09-19, version 3.4.1* I primarily use this app for writing poetry. I had a lot of pieces saved here, and only here. Open the app today, and all my work is gone? Where is it? I can't have the app open for more then a minute or so before it crashes. I deleted and reinstalled, no better. Please fix! The quick and efficient synonym lookup is exactly what I need, and the phraseology feature is also very helpful. Highly recommend WriteRight for creative writers! ### 5/5 — Much better than MS Word *2017-10-22, version 3.4.1* MS Word is complicated like all their products. It's done by techies for techies not for unwashed consumers. WriteRight is easy to use and effective. I think MS makes it difficult so they can sell courses and charge for support. MS 10 is the same way in comparison to IOS. There are so many essential features that help you carry on your magic thanks to the hard working and clever team. For me, the best part is the synonym and antonym function. It proves very useful when trying to add pizazz to your work. The undo and redo feature are also convenient cause we all know how indecisive we can get when on our writing adventures. Therefore, whether it be a book report, essay, or journal entry and even lyrics/poetry, this app is sure to become your best friend! After years of using several writing apps, this remains my go-to app!! ### 5/5 — This is the best for quick thought jots! *2017-06-02, version 3.4.1* Not only is it great for quick thought jots but works perfect for that last minute speech or hand out......that for me happens a lot. I like that I can do a zippy document ...then just hit a button and get auto formatting in an emergency! For some reasons, it constantly wants to return to the top of the page, making it a hassle to write on. I would recommended it to others, but be advised, that it can unstable, at least on my iPad ! ### 5/5 — Write like a pro… *2016-09-14, version 3.4.1* What I was looking for in almost every text editor I tried thus far was the feature to get synonyms and suggestions based on what I've already written. The appreciated MS Word feature I missed when I got accustomed to write down my thoughts, notes and emails on iOS devices. But now by the grace of this remarkable app, my writings are decorated with esthetic words and I owe it to myself to admit that it works much better than MS Word concerning synonyms, common expressions and phraseology. It supports markdown, syncs your documents automatically between your devices thanks to iCloud and Dropbox auto-backup feature, and brings you an enticing experience because of the clean and uncluttered interface on both iPhone and iPad. Well worth the price.
