Even when standing directly at the correct site, the app gives an error stating that I am too far away, which prevents checking in/out properly. It doesn’t show all the jobs available and seems to pick and choose which ones I can see. I truly appreciate the opportunity to work with ESS and the support provided to employees. However, I would like to respectfully express my concern that the current pay rate does not always reflect the level of responsibility, preparation, and flexibility required for assignments. As substitutes and paraprofessionals, we are often expected to manage classrooms, support diverse student needs, and adapt quickly to different school environments. Considering the rising cost of living, especially in New Jersey, a review of the pay structure would greatly support and motivate employees. I value working with ESS and hope the company will consider evaluating compensation to better align with the responsibilities and expectations of the role. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Paraprofessional *2026-04-13, version 2.7.0* Both WS+Jobs app and ESS Kiosk at school did not work for check-in or check-out! ### 1/5 — Why no built in support for password apps *2026-03-24, version 2.7.0* I have no issues with the app itself once I’m logged in but it logs me out once a week and right when I need to use it. It then take tree minutes to switch apps to my pass word manager and then back just to paste it into the field to login. I HATE, HATE, HATE having to use this app now. Every day I sign in on time and the app randomly signs me out. The log in page pops up and it’s an all white background with a log in button with nowhere to type in your info to actually log in. Still the same problem. Unable to sign in at all.
