There is no option in the app to increase the font size. ### 2/5 — Absolutely HORRIBLE with blind accessibility. *2026-04-02* Unfortunately, this is truly one of the most screen reader-unfriendly apps I have ever come across as a blind user. VoiceOver cannot recognize most interactive elements, and even basic interactions like page scrolling don’t work well. Additional accessibility functions like Screen recognition actually seem to break the app even more. The app is very sluggish, and auto-playing of videos apparently cannot be disabled. I cannot even locate the video player on a page to stop playback using any form of VoiceOver navigation. The AppleTV version has no logical method of VoiceOver navigation using the remote, making it virtually impossible to access anything. I downloaded the app today and turned off everything but breaking news and school closings and I’ve had 30+ breaking news notifications in 3 hours. Reporting the news and not inserting the left or right slant on whether ever subject they reported on. I used to check SAZ’s news several times throughout the day, but due to the recently added pop-up ads at the bottom of the screen it’s become impossible to even view a story without the app freezing. And yeah I know this app is free but on the other hand WOWK’s app is free as well and it doesn’t have any issues - hint, hint. You give more attention to Eastern Kentucky and West Virginia Than Southern Ohio. In any category. Example: Saturday, March 15, 2025, Portsmouth High School Girls Basketball Team Won their First EVER State Title and your web site has nothing on it. And your TV Broadcast, which did not air due to network broadcast of a golf tournament, left it until the 11:00pm then it will be forgotten. But you will be sure to broadcast the WVHSS Girls Tournament results. Remember, you are a TRI-State News Service and you are forgetting at least one-third of your audience and up to two-thirds, if you count other parts of Kentucky not in the Coal Fields. Southern Ohio is a forgotten area, beautiful with a lot of history, but forgotten. There is News happening here but nobody knows about it because it is never reported. Unless it is majorly political or catastrophic. I have watched you news broadcast for years, and over the years I have noticed this habit occur all too often. Please think about it, and try to change what is perceived.
