In this day and age there is no excuse not to have a version in every Mac format. I shouldn’t have to put up with an app that only fills a quarter of the screen. Ridiculous. ### 2/5 — Missing the Old App *2026-07-14* I was forced to switch over to the new app and while it seems to be working fine, my online banking has become significantly more difficult due to two missing features: 1) I can’t easily swap back and forth between my husband and my accounts. You have to completely delete your login and biometric data, and reset a PIN every time you switch accounts. 2) The Insights & Budget tab is broken. I used to track several categories of spending closely on the old app, and the new app seems to lump everything that isn’t Mortgage, ATM withdrawals, and a few other random categories into “Transfers”. I can’t track my grocery, restaurant, pet, health, etc. spending, so it’s now a useless feature. I also can no longer filter by account or time frame— it’s only month by month. ### 1/5 — New app sucks *2026-07-13, version 1.2.0* Reduced functions, set up for phones not tablets. Difficult to navigate. ### 1/5 — Needs work *2026-07-12* Clunky, slow. Too hard to find where to do a mobile deposit and where to sign out. Mobile deposit with the phone camera was weird. Picture had to be horizontal but input of info was only possible by holding phone vertical. Also,the decimal point is so small it’s hard to see to press it. Ps, the mobile version poor but so is the desktop version. Account total is misleading and it’s clunky to see what’s pending and what’s cleared. Overall a bad job, not customer friendly and not up to WSECU’s usual standards. ### 1/5 — Glitchy and slow *2026-07-10, version 1.2.0* This app is glitchy and slow. The old app was better. This has a lot of updates and the format is odd. The old app is better. ### 1/5 — Terrible Update - Requires Yet Another Separate Pin Number *2026-06-24* First of all, this is the only app in the entire App Store that requires you to sign in with your Apple ID for some reason. I have 100 apps and none have ever asked for me to do this. Also, you are required to create a brand new separate pin just to use this app. This new four digit pin can’t have any numbers that are adjacent to each other. For example, if your pen had the numbers two and then three, it will be rejected, etc. Totally ridiculous and unnecessary. ### 2/5 — Horrible on an iPad *2026-06-24, version 1.0.10* This is a definite step backwards for WSECU. The previous version of the app was functional on both iPad and iPhone. Now it is a dumbed down version of a iPhone-only app from a decade ago. BRING BACK THE OLD APP! ### 2/5 — Good and not-so good *2026-06-24, version 1.0.10* Do I need to see an oh-so-happy person holding a phone every time I log in. Where are my pending transactions? The new app has some nice visual upgrades but is missing a few important and very useful things. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Poor *2026-08-07* Adding slick pictures of a woman looking at her phone does nothing to make up for the loss of functionality over previous versions. Specifically, the ability to add notes on transactions was removed and generic labels now are used. As bad but even more frustrating is the ability to transfer funds to family members no longer works and the new app locks you out after 3 attempts even when the attempts are legitimate. I spent a half hour on the phone with WSECU only to have the app still not working correctly. Deleting it and reloading it doesn’t help. One star. ### 1/5 — Not a fan of *2026-07-27, version 1.3.0* The old app was better. This one is hard to navigate, and difficult to just “see” what you’re looking at and doing. ### 1/5 — Bill payment take forever to be processed *2026-07-25, version 1.3.0* So everytime I check my balance it’s higher what it actually is, because I’ll push thru a bill payment. And it still shows as my balance while it’s processing. ### 1/5 — Not an improvement *2026-07-22, version 1.3.0* Sign in security is now a 4 digit code?? That is where I stopped with the app and deleted it. By forcing me to use this app it messed up all my other financial apps security and can’t log into any of them even though my account is not locked. I have been a member for almost 20 years, this application is enough to make change CU! Two weeks unable to access my account! Fix It ### 1/5 — Confusing and Convoluted *2026-07-16, version 1.2.0* So far, this (now mandatory) newer app has made managing my money much more difficult. The UI all looks the like same boring minimalist graphics, making it harder to differentiate between pages. My biggest problem however, is now my savings, checking and credit are all in their own separate submenus, whereas I could navigate those on the former app with about 3 taps, and now I’m floundering having to go back and forth to double check my money is going where I need it to. They had a good system, I don’t know why all modern corporations need to abandon what worked prior for something new. ### 1/5 — Not happy with this silly App *2026-07-14, version 1.2.0* The old app was very user friendly, this one sucks! Things are hard to find, and parts that used to be there are gone. Much more difficult to navigate. And we can no longer use the old version-which worked fine. Why?? Great service! I have a problem I call they solve it. Would never change my bank. Honestly, look forward to calling when I have a problem. LOL. Also, great walk-in service friendly well trained. The best! How many people can say they love their bank? ### 5/5 — Just takes a while to get used to *2026-07-16* At first, I was frustrated because I’ve been using that other app for so long and I saw the poor review. I read the other review and it said you can’t deposit mobile checks and you absolutely can just click on transfer and pay then mobile deposit I like it better. It seems a lot cleaner. ### 5/5 — Idk it’s p solid! *2026-06-10* Kinda makes me sad to see the rating so low I’ve been a WSECU members for almost 10 years now and I’ve really enjoyed the app? It’s simple, direct, no frills, not too many service options to choose from or get confused by and doesn’t require a headache of a sign in process. The only thing I truly miss from the older version was the Balance Quick Check feature that was sooo helpful (please bring it back lol). Maybe I’m just a low-maintenance member but I’ve really enjoyed the app and whatever issues I’ve had the customer service has always been able to help well!!! ### 5/5 — Good But Needs Time To Improve *2026-05-14* This app is better than the old one, mostly because it doesn’t feel outdated. I haven’t encountered any bugs with this app yet and it runs smoothly. I believe the main reason for its negative reviews is that it’s still in development, but they’re actively working on improving the issues. I encourage anyone who has problems to reach out to WSECU with their feedback. I’ve provided them with a lot of feedback and received a prompt response and confirmation within the next day. They’re also open to further app enhancements. Overall, the app is good, but it needs more time to improve. I’d like to see changes sooner rather than later, but I understand that they’re not a large bank, so it may take longer than expected. ### 5/5 — Love it !! *2026-05-11, version 1.0.6* I’m so happy that we finally have a more updated app! It’s way more user friendly, looks cute, and I like the way the budget feature works! Excited to see it continue to improve!! ### 5/5 — FINALLY GOT IT RIGHT! *2026-04-27, version 1.0.5* This new WSECU got it right with simplicity and the essentials: I like how I can immediately see how much I have paid on my loan and how much there is to go with a bar graph and dollar amount. I also appreciate the interest rate immediately viewable now.
