## Newest reviews (15 of 45)

### 3/5 — Average but helpful

*2025-12-23, version 3.1*

Needed a tool to register my tasting notes so I decided to try this one. Couldn’t find frappato grape varietal in the selection plus there is a wine region option but no appellation…
Kind of limited for professionals but I guess it’s a good option for less experienced tasters

### 3/5 — Meh

*2025-06-16, version 3.1*

Would be a useful tool if it was set up for WSET level 3. As it’s only level 2 it’s rather limited in its application.

### 3/5 — Good idea, not great execution

*2025-01-17, version 3.1*

Would be fantastic if it had an option for level 2 vs level 3 notes. Definitely needs a way to edit notes. Additionally would be nice to be able to adjust the date of the review. It is common for me to take paper notes as I drink and then next day go in to enter them, so would be nice to accurately capture the date.

### 3/5 — Allow for editing

*2024-02-15, version 3.0*

Great app but you really should allow the option for editing…

### 2/5 — Annoying

*2023-04-30, version 3.0*

Well thats annoying I cant edit or draft my tastings. Headed to a group tasting and I want to input the wines were tasting so I don't have to pause to input all the basic wine info (that should be importable from vivino).

### 2/5 — Amateurish

*2023-04-05, version 3.0*

Keeps crashing when you try to type the primary nose marker that is not on the internal list but starts with a letter that is present on the internal list. The alcohol percentages are a silly drop-down with 0.5% increments so you have to cheat by copying and pasting them from Notes app No place to enter rim variation. No way to edit old entries. No way to set the tasting date, other than it auto sets to today.

### 2/5 — App crashing

*2023-03-21, version 3.0*

Hi, I'm finding every time I go to type Primary Notes to the Nose section, the app crashes.

### 3/5 — Too complex but incomplete

*2023-03-15*

This is a good start, but I won’t use it until it’s in better shape. It’s too complex: so many screens and taps to add a wine. You have to be able to edit, that’s a basic requirement. It doesn’t have all the AVAs continuing the myth that there are only a few wine regions in the USA. Photo label recognition… it’s been around for years! Fix all these then I’ll be more interested.

### 2/5 — Keeps crashing!

*2023-01-25, version 3.0*

Useful app, if only it didn’t crash so often. At least make it possible to save as you go, and to edit. It has crashed three times in the last hour. Back to just using regular notes for me!

### 3/5 — Only for level 2

*2021-07-13, version 2.0.1*

I love the app but I don’t understand why one could change the tasting level based the level the student is on.

### 2/5 — Querformat

*2021-04-11, version 2.0.1*

Please provide a landscape format to use the app with an ipad and a keyboard

### 3/5 — Fix Additional Comments!

*2021-02-18, version 2.0.1*

Cannot read entirety of my additional comments on tastings. Please fix because otherwise a great app.

### 4/5 — Great ! But...

*2020-11-07, version 2.0.1*

Hello, the App is really cool, but could be really better and interesting to give possibility for a Level 4 systematic approach to tasting wine

Thank you 🙏🏻

### 4/5 — Good app!

*2020-09-13, version 2.0.1*

Good app but I wish it had the following features:
-editing function after saving the tasting notes
-copying function from the aromas to the flavors.
-auto correct function when typing the tasting notes.

### 4/5 — Level 3 & 4 app?

*2020-02-08, version 2.0.1*

Do you intend to update the app for people that would like to study level 3 & 4. I am just at level 2 so the app at the moment is amazing but would love it with the added features that level 3 & 4 will have. Keep up the great work.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not working

*2025-01-11, version 3.1*

The app is not opening on IOS. It is calling the mistake whenever you are trying to login.

### 1/5 — Not Official, Third Party

*2024-06-12, version 3.0*

As a student, I have directly contacted WSET London via email and asked at their HQs for access. They said they said they do not provide any digital materials or app access.

### 1/5 — Too many bugs

*2023-07-28, version 3.0*

Often crashes, nice app but impossible to use.

### 1/5 — Keeps crashing

*2022-10-15, version 3.0*

It would be a good app if it didn’t keep crashing without saving any data! Very disappointing. :(

### 1/5 — Poor experience

*2020-08-19, version 2.0.1*

The app is good, the only problem is that when you reach the critical number of wine tastings (in my case it was around 50h it crashes with all your tasting records saved in the app, and it’s impossible to restart it again. I lost the tasting notes from my 2 trips to Italy - very-very disappointing experience

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2020-04-26, version 2.0.1*

Lack of editing is a problem, only being able to use WSET’s ‘approved’ list of grapes a joke. Yesterday I drank Clairette, today I drank Zibibbo, according to WSET these varietals don’t exist and I can’t add them. No wonder WSET is becoming increasingly irrelevant.

### 1/5 — Not applicable to WSET sake tasting

*2019-04-01, version 1.2*

WSET has sake courses. However this app only supports wine. WSET are not even supporting their own courses.

### 1/5 — What a pity :(

*2017-10-10, version 1.0.0*

WSAT Level 2 only is useless, it would have been better if it was al least Level 3, or if there was an option to select the Level from 2 to 4
I hope to see some improvements in the next future
Many thanks

### 2/5 — App worked great for a week now closes app and all progress on analysis on the tasting flavor notes

*2025-03-23, version 3.1*

Please fix!

### 2/5 — App crashes when inputting information

*2024-07-10, version 3.0*

I’ve used the app a few times and previously it had worked well. This week when I tried to input information into a new record the app would crash and force close, losing all information. I tried multiple times but couldn’t get past the aroma stage without the app closing. A shame, I have enjoyed using it in the past. Please fix!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nice basic app, built to the purpose and nothing more.

*2025-02-16, version 3.1*

The reviews are kinda harsh. This app works well enough. I was able to add a photo of the label (some reviewers couldn’t), and it didn’t crash, although I haven’t yet tried to put in any non-preset flavors. The export is compact and clear. Seems like a great app if you ask me. Yea, you can’t edit a review once “saved”, but prior to that it’s fully editable. Yea, you can’t enter or change the date. That seems to be set when you “save”. But, you can mention in the notes section if your tasting date is different than your “save” date if that’s important. This app does what it says it does and avoids the unnecessary. It’s perfect for a WSET student (like me), and seems useful to anyone that want’s a consistent way to record their wine tastings.

### 5/5 — Perfect to score wine!

*2020-05-16, version 2.0.1*

By far the best app I’ve found to rate and score the wines I’m tasting. Easy to use, clean design!

### 5/5 — Wset 3 and 4 version

*2020-01-05, version 2.0.1*

Hello there I was thinking it could be great to switch between level of accuracy I. The same up moving from WSET 2-3-4.

### 5/5 — Love the app.

*2017-10-26, version 1.0.0*

Love it, works great, sleek design. Would pay a lot of extra $$ for the level 3 & 4 grids though.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2017-10-25, version 1.0.0*

This app is really handy to create and store my tasting notes. So easy to use too.

### 4/5 — I miss the built in scoring option

*2025-04-05, version 3.1*

I miss the built in scoring option. Otherwise looks good.

### 4/5 — Love it but needs a few tweaks

*2022-07-24, version 3.0*

Love the logical progression.

As others said should be able to edit.

Starting to type certain aromas or flavors cause an immediate crash losing that wine and having to start over.

Would be great to have producer also listed in main list.

Would be great to remember producer and non-default grapes once entered for subsequent use.

Thinking about taking a WSET course now though.

### 4/5 — Great if basic tasting notes app

*2022-06-29, version 3.0*

I hope some day they make the notes editable! It’s my main issue with the app. Other than that it’s a very useful tool.

### 4/5 — Wset 3 and 4 levels required

*2021-06-30, version 2.0.1*

Just beginning WSET 4, would be useful to have the extra options in the tasting grid.

### 4/5 — Could be so good!

*2021-05-24, version 2.0.1*

This is a useful app with a lot going for it. Unfortunately you cannot edit your tasting notes once you have submitted them and the typewriter in the comments section does not have spell check. If you make one tiny mistake you have to delete the whole tasting note and start over. Super frustrating!
