It's very frustrating when you know the region where the wine label belongs, but you can't get to it because the maps are too hard to pinpoint. Otherwise, everything is is well done, it requires some knowledge, and it will really test you. If they can just find a better way to make the maps more intuitive, it can be a five-star app. ### 4/5 — Good game with potential *2014-01-29* Game is great but could use a lot of new content. A fabulously fun, fast-paced game, and a great learning tool. My only reason not to give 5 stars is I was sad to find it was over after 6 levels!! With a little longer times available this could be such a useful tool. Huge suggestions: It needs to have the option of not being timed, and it needs to stop repeatedly asking me the questions I’ve long mastered. The world map should get to the region faster and more efficiently when I’m narrowing down my answer. ### 3/5 — Needs work! Poor picture quality *2014-02-27* Don't get me wrong its a great idea, but it's got to many problems. 1. Better picture quality 2. When you go to the results page it should show you a map of the place or some more information on the area, so you can learn, instead of having to google I later. 3. There really needs to be an iPad version, the 2x zoom is terrible quality. 4. Enable Pinch zoom . 5. Landscape view would be better. Fix these things, and it would be a much better app.... And an iPad version would make this much easier to use instead of squinting at it. Can't wait for an updated version. ### 3/5 — Maps & labels unreadable *2012-06-02* Unfortunately the when matching the labels to maps it difficult to move and increase map size for greater detail. Also, the labels are very difficult to read ### 4/5 — A helpful Tool *2021-06-18* A good app to strengthen geography recognition, though the format doesn’t help for too much more than that. Unfortunately the 60 time frame is a bit short with the map navigation. Would happily pay a few dollars or subscription to have this a more fleshed out program. Overall fun and useful in a flash card way. ### 4/5 — Love it, but it needs some tweaking *2018-09-09* This is a really fun and very effective way to memorize exact locations of wine regions. A few tweaks would be helpful. For example it would be nice if the name of the region was in a dark color instead of a light color because it sometimes takes me a few seconds to be able to read the name. Another tweak would be for the map to reset to the world view after each wine. That way I wouldn’t have to tap out before I could tap in again. Finally it would be nice at the end of the round to be able to see what the right regions were for the ones I got wrong. Although admittedly, after playing the game enough, I eventually figured it out on my own. I liked that it was progressive too - because when you try earlier levels again - it's easy to gauge improvement in knowledge! Wish this was compatible with the iPad mini - even though my course is over I'd play it over my paid games - just reckon it would be better on a bigger screen even though the iPhone5 screens fairly decent. It has allowed me to recall information I wasn’t sure was still lodged in my brain! Fast-paced and will definitely help with memorization. Would be helpful if a map with the region/subregion is located in the review notes. Also, it would be nice to include the information of the last option when the timer runs out along with the in/correct ones.
