I find it’s like listening to AM radio. Even their HD version streams at 64k. I don’t think either app streams the individual track names. Overall crap, technically speaking. ### 1/5 — Buggy and Battery Draining *2017-09-01, version 4.0* Tried to use the app to buy a song I just heard. This application loads quickly and doesn't crash. The app, however, is just the conduit to the music and the staff that truly loves the music that they play. WTMD is listener supported and commercial-free. Get hooked! ### 2/5 — Good App, Horrible Compression *2023-10-30, version 4.6.14* This is a great app. It’s a shame that it’s completely useless for anyone within the FM broadcast range. If you can tune into the station over radio, you’ll experience far better audio quality than the internet stream, even listening through terrible speakers. I’ve tried with multiple different devices running both the app and web page streams, and the low end (drums, bass) gets crushed to almost nothing (due to the internet live stream compression) even compared to bootleg YouTube uploads of the same songs. The new app “ upgrade” is terrible. The problem is I have to restart the app and press play every time I start the car, even if I just stopped for a minute. I don’t have this problem with other music streaming apps. You have easy access to two station options in the app, and you can view the playlists to discover new songs and new artists, which I’ve found helpful. You can also donate from within the app (wink, you should). The app has improved over the years.
