I did some testing and it appears there may be a memory management bug in how the code transitions between different weather map views. This causes a memory addressing error condition and iOS automatically “kills” the app due to multiple runtime exceptions. I am running the app on an iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 26.5). Then the drought hit and we no longer saw rainfall totals compared to normal. I am sure it was a coincidence.. I agree it got dry and we had a lack of rain. But it only worked until I went to use it again, it didn’t work again. I repeated this process 3 times with the same result. My wife had the same problem. We both have newer but not the newest iPhones. Today is just another example. Your weather app and weatherman said no snow today. Unfortunately I have been looking at snow falling for several hours. Since you obviously can not accurately forecast the weather, please reduce the frequency we have to listen to your weatherman during a newscast. And there are no settings options to just get important weather notifications. Just notifications on or off. I don’t need 12 alerts a day about how beautiful the weather is going to be. Does NOT show present for months now. Does not show all the precipitation all the time, will show you lightning but not the storm it is in.
