It’s the soundtrack of my life. I usually listen through the app, whether at home or away. The only annoying thing is that if I go from Wi-Fi to Cellular, I have to listen to the sponsorship message Again. That means I frequently miss a bit of the story I was listening to. I walk out of my house to walk the dog and the moment I walk out of WiFi range it drops and a few second later …. the ads start! I already listen to those in the house!!!! I get a phone call and I answer. When it’s over, WUNC doesn’t start up like ALL other apps do. I would have preferred that the money spent to spiff up the look of the app would have been spent to spiff up the streaming part instead. WUNC live will run repeated content within the same hour or 2. Live on the app doesn’t match up to live on the radio. It’s very frustrating and a disincentive to use the app or continue being a sustainer. Maybe it’s the ISP, but buffering should offset that. My battery was fully charged and dead 12 hours later, hadn’t been used at all. This app in background ate it up. Unless you are stationary and on wifi, good luck trying to listen to an entire broadcast. Three years ago I thought it was my phone. I realized otherwise when I had zero issues with my new local public radio app, in my new state. Downloaded the WUNC app again this week and was so disappointed. ### 1/5 — ATE MY BATTERY AND DATA *2022-04-19, version 2.1.1* I left this app in background. My battery was fully charged and dead 12 hours later, hadn’t been used at all. This app in background ate it up. Also ate my entire gig of data for the month in less than three days. ### 1/5 — Very very bad *2022-01-12, version 2.1.1* Every single day I have to delete and re add this app to listen to WUNC with headphones. It drops out when my phone rings, and will not come back. How in the world are there not hundreds of complaints, I do not know. I have been having this problem for over two years though, and just putting up with it, so I guess everyone else has too.
