## What is WVCEA Connect?

WVCEA Connect is the official app of the West Virginia Christian Education Association, serving WVCEA schools, educators, students, and families throughout the year.

The app brings WVCEA programs, events, information, and resources into one place. From the Educators Convention and Fine Arts festivals to athletic events, WVCEA Connect helps people find what they need and keep up with official information.

For the Educators Convention, explore the full program, build a personal schedule, find sessions and rooms, receive important updates, and keep notes connected to each session. Your schedule, notes, and professional-development record remain available after the convention.

Fine Arts and athletics are part of that same WVCEA connection, with a clear place for program information, schedules, locations, updates, and results. Schools and participants can follow the programs and events that matter to them without searching through scattered messages and documents.

WVCEA Connect supports the work WVCEA shares with its schools and members before, during, and after its events—and throughout the year.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-09-16

If something interrupts your phone while you are recording — a call, an alarm, another app taking the microphone — the recording now carries on instead of stopping where it was.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-09-15

If a recording cannot reach WVCEA straight away — no signal, a flat battery, or anything else — your phone now keeps it and sends it later, including overnight while you charge. Recording the same session twice no longer replaces your first recording, and a seminar you recorded in two halves is kept as one.

Recording a seminar now gives you the words as well as the audio. Your phone reads the recording afterwards and writes out what was said, broken up where the speaker paused, so you can find the moment you want instead of listening again from the start.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-14

Your convention card on the lock screen can now record the session you are in, stop it, and open your note — without unlocking your phone. It says when you are recording, when to set off for your next room, and if a room changes. Check in to each seminar by scanning the QR code in the room; the app now says where and when.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-12

When you are sitting in a seminar you chose and are not recording it, the app now asks once, a few minutes in. Tap Record and the recording starts with your notes already open. If the microphone is switched off, the same tap takes you to the setting that turns it back on.
