The constantly shifting highlighted news stories on the app itself are a distraction and I never use it for anything other than audio. As mentioned another comments, the buffering is really distracting. When you first turned it on, it will often repeat the first few seconds two or three times before it finally connects consistently. ### 5/5 — Love love love NPR *2025-11-07* Don’t know what I’d do without my public broadcasting station. It’s the only way I can get to the music side of the station. The portion of the app that is the audio player is not able to play reliably for the morning news. Lots of buffering. You are better off using the website if listening is your goal. I have deleted and reinstall the app several times with no change and performance.
