Between Levels 8 and 9 Advanced, there’s a mix up.  Level 8, the knife mission, started with a gun in hand, but no knife.  Level 9 started with a knife and no gun option: the soldiers were mostly unresponsive and the second hostage was inaccessible, i.e., impossible to find!
