I spent time trying to raise 2k in gold so i could double it but right as i was about to reach it, the update wiped it off. But its a cool fun game so i just accepted it. Also the bots are way too overpowered!!! ### 2/5 — PAY TO WIN *2026-06-11, version 6.29.1* I was happy to have found a COD style game that I could play on my MacBook Air and this game seemed like a good option. I’ve played it for over a year now and spent quite a sum of money upgrading my character and equipment to enable me to win a good percentage of games. It has now got to the point where I will switch back to COD as WW@ Frontline 1942 has never changed the maps, has overpowered the bots and constantly nerf away the benefits of characters and weapons that you pay a lot of gold/money for. There is also a big unfair advantage in clan players competing against non-clan players with the perks that have available and there is this ridiculous combat support that the rich few buy that just nukes the battlefield. The path to higher levels is slow and costly and the rewards are very minimal for the cost and effort involved. So it’s an ok game to play for a few months, but you are better of with COD for more sophisticated and realistic game play, and better value with regular map changes. ### 2/5 — Chat Moderators Biased and Anti Western *2026-05-05, version 6.29.1* There are no Moderators from the west and even openly racial remarks are ignored. If you are from a western country beware in global chats. Anything to make a buck off some kid. ### 3/5 — Fun when it works *2026-03-19, version 6.28.1* This is a really fun game, a little P2P, as you have to spend real money to improve weapons, etc.. I wouldn’t mind spending the money, and would likely spend more, but it’s SO glitchy. More the half the time I launch it, it gives me an “internet connection issues” message and it won’t launch a battle. I have 500mbs connection, no other apps open, gaming focus on, and a 2025 iPad Air running the latest iOS version. Then you have to shoot 1000 bullets and still cant kill anyone… Even after paying and upgrading. You should be paying and upgrading daily to have a small chance. Super laggy and the guns and bullets don’t register a lot. The community is toxic as heck with a bunch of basement dwellers that live at home with their parents buying up all the good guns and gear. At level 9 in the game I started playing up against people that literally had attack dogs while I’m still running World War One guns. They all had maxed out guns. What a damn joke. Anything worth having in the game cost money it’s an absolutely sham. To the losers get a dang life man. I spent 5 hours straight of playing this game ### 5/5 — Brilliant Game, but there are way TOO many characters with enormous Health. *2026-07-28* There is a dearth of games on App Store for MacBooks, and I am very happy that this game is done very well. Earlier they had made us pay for every bullet, but now thankfully, the players only play for special armour piecing bullets, not regular ones. The wide assortment of weapons, characters, minor perks, map layout, enterable buildings being detailed on the inside, all is pretty good. One good thing, is that the perks associated with a particular character, does NOT make it a perk based game, that is, if your character has a bad perk, it does not ruin the game. Gameplay depends on the skill and your technique, not the character. Although there are some very high health characters, and you have to empty a magazine at their heads, and they still don’t die, which does not make any sense. Devs, please either increase the damage dealt by headshots (they are very hard to make, especially by a low rate of fire sniper rifle). Also, some weapons like Winter Mantle, yeah one bullet from it, and you are dead, which is especially frustrating when they opposite enemy has both a very high health character and a gun like Winter Mantle. All in all, a brilliant game, with minor drawbacks which I hope the devs will fine tune.
