The app has been down for more than a week *2023-03-12* I’ve uninstalled multiple times and the app will not fully load. ### 2/5 — You miss the news *2022-01-11, version 4.5.6* My understanding is that a publication has an app to give its subscribers a fast access to the content. Unfortunately that is not the case with WWD: The story selection is incomplete. The team curating the app miss the “hot news” from the website, so you need to log into the website anyhow. So this is really a useless tool. Then, if you click on the website links in the app (yes they do not feature all the content in the app) they make you type in the password and log in details AGAIN. This is so annoying at the end of the date, that I consider to cancel my subscription to WWD. We need less roadblocks in our lives…. The way WWD manages it shows you that they either do not care about their subscribers or they are just not a the level to play the digital game. Either one is hurting this once so strong brand on the market place…. Reconsider, there are other’s out there with a better app experience. Super annoying ### 2/5 — Half the images never load in the articles *2021-12-07* When you click the articles only the first image loads then there are huge gaps between the words where I assume photos are supposed to be- I thought it was just my phone but my friend also found this problem on their phone . The fashion photos won’t enlarge - with the vogue runway app they will- I wish wwd would add this feature to at least their runway and streetwear section. The selection of daily articles and content are very good . ### 1/5 — Impossibly hard to cancel *2021-02-11, version 4.5.3* The magazine is not what I expected and trying to cancel the subscription has been impossibly hard. I paid for subscription and can not log in . Deleted the app , reloaded it again , still no access . :( Really disappointing ! ### 1/5 — App doesn't let you log in!! *2017-09-17* This app used to be buggy and clunky but it was at least functional. But now, since the last update, it logs you out and DOESN'T LET YOU LOG IN. I actually have both the iTunes subscription and the WWD Print/Digital subscription (due to an overlap in renewal timing) and neither works. Logging in through iTunes doesn't work and entering email & password doesn't work. I have tried deleting the app and redownloading, have made sure my software was up to date, have checked and rechecked my subscriptions, everything. This has been the case for several days. Nothing works. I have emailed both iTunes and WWD several times with NO RESPONSE. I am paying for a subscription that I can't even use and no one has bothered to return my emails about it. Works for 1 day then tells me I do not have active subscription. iTunes shows as active but with dates wrong - eg, 6/20/17 - 6/20/17 instead of 6/29/16 - 6/20/17. Contacted iTunes who told me that they just sell the app. If it is broken WWD must fix. iTunes has refunded me each time but cannot address problem. Contacted WWD who said they just sell paper and desktop online subscriptions and cannot help with app. Rep was to have IT call me - of course that has not happened, nor have I gotten any response to app support e-mails. This is RIDICULOUS! PLEASE HELP ### 1/5 — Awful *2016-06-15, version 1.6.5* Second month subscribing and still unable to get anything downloaded. The app charges me monthly but when trying to enter displays the message that I don't have an account. Contacted iTunes and WWD. I dearly miss the print version. ### 1/5 — Great content, awful app *2022-10-08* WWD is an exceptional news source, but the app was clearly designed by a committee. The Home tab is incoherent, the For You tab often forgets who I am, Runway is never updated, Sections is at best a sitemap (groundbreaking) and the Digital Daily is a basically pdf of the print edition. The best use of this app would be as a case study for a design school on how not to do build an app. It’s a tragedy really, the WWD app could easily be the go-to for the industry. Designers: combine Home and FYP into a feed with sticky filter preferences, single column, infinite scroll, no footer, and bury the rest in a burger. I still am getting familiar with the download settings. It used to be You could buy the print version and save issues and clip out pictures or articles. And it used to be only women’s wear, not men’s wear mixed in. I miss the print version.
