### 5/5 — Crashing upon opening

*2024-11-29, version 56171*

Cannot open app after update. Still a 5 star app once this problems can be resolved. I hope the resolution can be posted in description as I can’t get to the FAQ,

### 5/5 — Solid Wx app

*2024-11-18, version 56170*

Information is easily accessible. Data is accurate. Great all-in-one weather app.

### 5/5 — 5-Stars

*2024-10-28, version 56169*

Surprisingly accurate. When my local broadcast media gets it wrong, wXL23 gets it right. Thank you.

### 5/5 — The most in-depth weather app available

*2024-10-19, version 56169*

Everything you could possibly imagine is available in this app. An indispensable tool for any weather enthusiast out there

### 5/5 — great!

*2024-07-15, version 56166*

I just recently went down the rabbit hole of weather and storm chasing, and this app is the perfect companion for that obsession. I’m genuinely amazed that an app with such a depth of information doesn’t even have ads, and there’s no paywall to more advanced information! it’s all there, even if it’s a little difficult to sort though at times, especially if you’re not well versed in weather models and terminology. after two or so days though, I got a hang of where I could find the information I actually needed. the dual pane radar is great, although it’s a little slow to play animations, and occasionally the animations will crash the app unfortunately. that for me is the only real drawback besides the slightly difficult to grasp interface. I also noticed that the radar on an app like radarscope refreshes more quickly, but it’s not enough in my opinion to justify the ten dollars. besides the radar, the variety of models and spc predictions are great for forecasting. incredible app!

### 5/5 — The best weather app!

*2024-06-08, version 56166*

Thorough, extensive, yet efficient and uncluttered.

### 5/5 — Actual thought put into this.

*2024-05-16*

It’s not as cool looking and in your face as TWC but if you’re actually interested in weather data, SPC, GOES, Models, Level II Radar, just raw data with all of the sites and resources we all look at in one place. There is not fluff or extra garbage that gets in the way of you seeing the data you want. This feels more like a Meteorologist designed an app to make their lives easier and it makes mine too. Thanks Josh, for the most effective app on the market.

### 5/5 — Top weather app

*2024-05-12, version 56166*

Thank you for this amazing free app. Everything about this app is awesome, especially for people into weather and all the details. I have only one suggestion, can you add widgets? Appreciate the amount of time and work you put into this amazing app, and hope it’s around for a long time to come.

### 5/5 — "best weather app out there."

*2024-05-11, version 56165*

many reviews may start like this, but this is truly as it says, an advanced weather app, an extreme steep learning curve. I love the amount of data.

### 5/5 — One of the best weather apps out there (and for free too!)

*2024-05-04, version 56163*

Compared to other weather radar applications like Radarscope, this app has almost everything you could ever need. To me, dual polarization is a necessity for any radar app in the app store, and this one has it all for free! It is a great tool for weather enthusiasts alike, and I would recommend this to anyone that asked. However, one thing I would like to mention is the lack of color table variety for reflectivity and velocity. I wish that you could input the color code of the color table as an option to add your own color pack. Despite that, I would give this app a 10/10. Great job on constructing this masterpiece!

### 5/5 — Amazing Tool, very underrated.

*2024-04-14, version 56163*

This is an amazing asset for American(USA) meteorologists. This app will have everything you need! It’s very well polished and quickly updated. I live in the NYC metro area where people want information quickly. This app allows me to look at guidance, on my phone, while I'm out of the office. I highly recommend for fellow meteorologists.

### 5/5 — The Greatest Weather App

*2024-03-15, version 56162*

I’ve tried a bunch of weather apps, but this is the only one that delivered all of the information I wanted. I initially found this app because of the radar function, and was quite glad to see that it delivers the data straight from the NWS. The forecast/current conditions from the NWS is also appreciated, as it avoids me having to navigate the clunky web interface from them. If that wasn’t enough, the wealth of products from the SPC and others is unparalleled when I want to get deeper than just the radar and forecast. One small issue I occasionally experience is only having the current conditions load (only affects one station at a time) unless I refresh it by switching to another station and back again. I’m not sure if that’s an issue on my end, the app, or the NWS’ API. Once again, thank you for this wonderful app.

### 5/5 — First looks IMPRESSIVE

*2023-10-19, version 56161*

Finding this out was a pleasant surprise to say the least. I was amazed at the organization of all the weather sites that I normally look at individually in various YouTube videos blah blah blah. Here they are all together and easily accessible through buttons and tabs and I really like that I appreciate this app so very much. I have already told people about it in my contact circle. And I have given it the highest rating because I will be able to delete a lot of other weather apps riding along on my phone which are now seriously UNNEEDED. THIS APP AUTHOR IS A BONIFIDE PROGRAMMER.

### 3/5 — Getting crashes when trying to look at radar.

*2023-08-20, version 56158*

Flipping through the frames or hitting the play button causes crashes on some types of radar display. Play button often doesn’t work either even when it doesn’t crash.

### 3/5 — 3 stars because…

*2023-06-30, version 56156*

It needs to be available for Windows 11 since I use my computer for weather forecasting.

### 3/5 — It’s ok

*2019-01-28, version 55600*

Most models won’t load any weather data or are slow to load.

### 4/5 — Liking it so far!

*2026-03-16, version 56183*

This app has a ton of info. I will start with saying we need the proper dark mode icon when using the dark mode icons options for iOS.

Hopefully the bottom bar gets some icons for each category. Other then those things not much to say other then any ui improvements are welcomed

### 4/5 — App doesn’t work on IOS 26

*2025-10-28, version 56179*

App crashes as soon as it opens,. Please fix when available.

### 4/5 — Crashed! Fixed…

*2024-12-04, version 56172*

Won’t open. Looks like problem is fixed.

### 4/5 — V56171 crashes on open

*2024-11-30, version 56171*

I’m running the latest iOS 18.1.1 and just updated wX to v56171 and it crashes within seconds of opening it, after I put the radar image on the initial Home Screen. Have to delete the app and lose settings. If I put the radar there again, it starts crashing again on app open. Otherwise, my favorite and GO TO weather app.

### 4/5 — pretty good

*2024-07-08, version 56166*

this is definitely one of the best apps i have (with other free apps) especially since i can switch between velocity and reflectivity radar. for a weather enthusiast it’s definitely a must have. but i have one piece of criticism, the radars are not the best in terms of quality.

### 4/5 — Update

*2023-12-18, version 56162*

Ok so I had to change settings as I had it setup to use closest airport but for some reason it wasn’t working so changed airports and it radar started doing its magic.

### 4/5 — Very good!!!

*2019-05-29*

This app is a great one stop shop of weather products! Just beginning to dig deeper into the many options, and so far only suggestions are to add cities and highways to the radar display and also NOT limit the size of the satellite images! Plenty of WiFi and unlimited data plans now and with high resolution displays, no need to worry about this anymore. Otherwise nicely done!

UPDATE: found the map options to add highways...this app is now my daily weather briefing!

**Developer response:** Thank-you for your feedback. In the next release due out later this week, please find a new option in settings -> UI (that you need to toggle "on") to use full resolution GOES images. --Josh

### 5/5 — Could be better

*2026-06-30, version 56183*

Could use more features, but a definite 5 stars,

I would recommend a more organized tab of things, but hopefully that occurs soon

### 5/5 — Perfect, simple perfect

*2026-06-16, version 56183*

I absolutely love this app. Perfect

### 5/5 — Great weather app!

*2026-04-03, version 56183*

I’ve tried many weather apps but this one stands out to me more than the others. It offers a lot of features, while still staying very accurate, unlike many other weather apps that rely on less reliable information. This app's data comes directly from the national weather service, making it very reliable for people who need the data straight from a trusted source.
Although it can be hard to traverse through the apps interface and data. After a few uses of using the app, you will quickly catch on and understand how to navigate through this app. The amount of customization in the settings is far ahead of the competitors, allowing you to set your settings for your specific needs.
This app also includes the SPC predictions, a handful of models and mosaics which is good for weather enthusiasts like me. The radar is what stands out from other weather apps, it’s highly customizable and features a dual pane mode to view two different weather modes simultaneously. If you want something a step up there is even a quad pane option to view four different weather modes simultaneously. Another feature is the ability to long press a location for an instant local forecast instead of having to save a location on the main screen every time.
A small handy feature is being able to see the area forecast discussion and the severe weather ongoing in the vicinity of an area you chose.
Another nice thing about the app is that most weather apps require your GPS constantly but this one doesn’t require your GPS to function. To get all of those features for free and without any ads is rare! The entire weather app overall feels very clean, organized and professional.
excellent work!

### 5/5 — Convective Outlooks

*2026-03-05, version 56182*

Great app. Needs update to account for changes in SPC outlooks tho

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-12-25, version 56182*

amazing app, and its free!

### 5/5 — Great app and developers

*2025-11-04, version 56181*

Very much appreciate the app and warnings about the NWS’ lack of funding.

### 5/5 — Awesome app for Wx

*2025-10-30, version 56181*

This is one of the best Wx apps there is. If there is quick, consistent and accurate data, this app has it. Thank you to the author and developer of this app for a Wx app that fills in all the holes in weather apps that other weather apps leave a professional or amateur weather specialist craving for. One of the best ever produced and made publicly available.

### 5/5 — National Weather Service Piped In

*2025-02-16, version 56173*

If you want the Forecast Discussion without the frustrating formatting issues this is it. Plus scads of extra stuff. Somebody on Reddit told us about it.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2024-12-15, version 56172*

Been looking for exactly something like this. Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2024-12-01, version 56171*

Has everything one needs for current and up coming weather. Sadly recently the app no longer works. When opening the app is instantly closes.
