### 5/5 — Awesome pilot app

*2026-05-14*

WxPlan is an excellent tool for pilots looking for a smarter, faster, and more user friendly way to handle weather briefings and operational planning.

Instead of manually digging through weather data and notams, WxPlan automatically highlights holding fuel or alternate requirements, this saves a huge amount of time and reduces the chance of missing critical details. The interface is far more intuitive than traditional briefing tools.

The roster import feature is a major advantage for managing multiple sectors a huge time saver.

### 4/5 — Awesome app!

*2025-09-13*

Best Australian aviation app to date. It has everything I need for free, but the extras are awesome. Super quick to just import my flying for the day and then update it throughout the day. With long TAFs, theres no more misinterpreting times and dates on INTER/TEMPOs etc.

### 5/5 — One stop shop WX app for ALL professional pilots

*2025-09-08*

WxPlan is hands down the best weather app I have used to date. Being an airline pilot, this app has helped me identify fuelling requirements that would have been otherwise buried in the details that many would miss. It

is extremely intuitive and well put making it very easy to use on the ground and inflight. This app is definitely going to be a staple of MUST have apps and I would highly recommend any pilot of all levels to give it a go.
Thank you WxPlan for having an all-in-one weather suite I can rely on

### 5/5 — Best pilot app yet

*2025-05-24*

Importing your days run sheet is such a time saver. Just plug it in and it runs analysis on all your arrivals for the day, storing it for you to look at offline. Colour coded briefs show you at a glance too if you need holding or an alternate. The NOTAM filtering feature is super handy too, you can just choose the categories you want to see and it tells you if it is active on your arrival.

### 5/5 — Essential for Aussie Pilots

*2025-05-14*

I happened to stumble across this app and so glad I did - honestly a game changer for Aussie pilots. You can review the weather and see the alternate minima all in one place and can even filter out NOTAMs. It has saved me so much time flight planning and the layout makes everything incredibly easy and fast to find. Like Naips but more user friendly with extra features. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Brilliant app

*2025-05-14*

This app is the best for weather related flight planning that I have used in 35 years of professional and private flying. Very easy to use, makes planning a complex weather day easy. If you find using NAIPS difficult or have difficulty in interpreting TAF’s look no further than this app.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.2.3 — 2026-08-19

PREFERRED ALTERNATES:
Add your regular alternates in Settings and a new button appears on the roster import screen. Tap it to include your alternates with your nominated flight time added to the destination's ETA.

Deselect any airport to leave its alternate out when Add Alternates is pressed
Switch the A beside an alternate to a D to use destination minima instead
Alternate assessments by default run against Alternate Minima and are saved with a * in the title

On any saved brief that has a preferred alternate saved, an "Add Alternate" button now appears on the results screen whenever holding or an alternate is suggested. Simply pick your alternates, run, and they save alongside the destination using alternate minima.

FASTER NOTAM ANALYSIS:
For iOS 27 or later, long press NOTAM Analysis for OVERALL Analysis. This gives a fast and general overview of all active NOTAMs on arrival and will flag any that it deems extra important. Easily switch back to individual NOTAM Analysis at any time.

NOTAM AWARENESS AT A GLANCE:
Mark All and Unmark All on the NOTAM page
A green glow around the NOTAM button once every NOTAM has been marked as read.
Red exclamation marks either side of the button when a NOTAM is flagged, handled independently.
Coming back to a saved brief, if the glow has vanished after an update, a new NOTAM has been added.

KEYWORD SEARCH:
Looking for a specific runway, taxiway or word? Type it into the NOTAM filters Keyword Search function and only the NOTAMs containing it are shown.

NEW ATIS PUSH NOTIFICATIONS:
WxPlan now checks for a new ATIS roughly every 10 minutes while backgrounded or with the device locked. A push notification will be sent when one is found and the app will show a badge, so no new ATIS is missed. In the foreground, set your own check interval to the minute and receive in-app alerting.

FIRST AND LAST LIGHT:
Arrival Time on the results page is now tappable and shows official first and last light times.

PINNED CHART DOWNLOADS:
Select the pin and press Download All to grab your pinned charts only. Less waiting, quicker out the door.
