## What is wyd?

wyd is the fastest way to turn "we should hang out" into actually hanging out.

Your group chat has 40 unread messages and still nobody knows what's happening tonight. wyd fixes the in-between: the spontaneous, low-stakes plans that get lost between big-event apps and one-off texts.

HOW IT WORKS
• Make a circle: your real friend group. College friends, roommates, run club, whoever.
• Broadcast a wyd: "burgers in 30?" goes out to the whole circle at once.
• One-tap RSVP: everyone sees who's in, who's maybe, and where it's going. In real time.

NO ONE HAS TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING TO JOIN
Friends RSVP straight from the link you share: no account, no install. The app earns its place by being useful, not by making your friends sign up first.

BUILT FOR HOW PLANS ACTUALLY FORM
• Ideas: a shared list of stuff you all want to do someday.
• Feelers: "who's down for X?" Float it, and when enough people tap in, lock it in.
• Hangouts: it's happening. Right now, or scheduled for later.

WHY PEOPLE USE IT
• Your number is your account. No passwords, no email, no profile to build.
• Plans stop dying in the group chat.
• You finally find out your friends were free too.

wyd is for close friends who want to see each other more and stop letting good nights slip by because coordinating was too much work.

What are you doing? Find out who's down.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.0.4 — 2026-07-21

Ideas vs. Plans, reimagined
Starting a post now begins with a simple choice: float an Idea to gauge interest, or lock in a Plan with a real time and place. Ideas are perfect for "maybe this weekend?", respond with Interested, Maybe, or Pass. Plans support a set time, Time TBD, or Happening Now.

Richer creation flow
- Add a cover photo to your Idea or Plan
- Pick a location with autocomplete and a one-tap "use current location" option
- See exactly who'll see your post before you send it, with a clear count for large or multi-Circle audiences

Smarter post confirmation
After posting, you're taken straight to your new Idea or Plan instead of a separate confirmation screen, with a quick toast (e.g. "Posted to The Crew") confirming who can see it.

Reactions, iMessage-style
Tapping a reaction now replaces your previous one instead of stacking multiple reactions. Long-press any reaction to see exactly who reacted with what.

Streamlined onboarding
Getting started is faster, no more forced first post. Helpful tips now show up contextually as you explore Home, Circles, and sharing.

Unified empty states
Feed, Friends, Circles, and Calendar now have consistent, clearer placeholder screens that guide you to your next action when there's nothing there yet.

Visual polish
- Plan detail cards are now white for better contrast against the lavender background
- Improved readability of muted/secondary text throughout plan details
- Text now scales properly with your device's text-size setting on plan detail screens
- Smaller, tidier "who's coming" avatars and tighter spacing across composers
- Better contrast on RSVP buttons (Maybe / Can't make it)

### 1.0.3 — 2026-07-16

• Plan details have a fresh new look, with clearer information, simpler RSVPs, improved sharing and easier editing.
• React to messages with any emoji using quick gestures or the new searchable emoji picker.
• Creating a plan now starts with clearer time and plan-type choices.
• New walkthroughs and helpful tips make it easier to learn how wyd works.
• Inviting friends and adding people from your contacts is now smoother.
• Plus, reliability improvements across plan editing, invitations and app performance.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-07-14

What's New

- Joining a circle or RSVPing from a text link is now faster — no verification code needed.
- Guests without the app can add their name when RSVPing, so hosts see who's coming.
- Cleaner RSVP buttons for scheduled plans.
- Tag @all in a thread to notify everyone on the plan.
- React to messages with emoji.
- Edit tentative plans without locking them in first.
- Nudge your circle again after 30 minutes if a plan needs a bump.
- Cover photos on plan cards and detail pages.
- Past events are dimmed and tagged so your feed stays focused on what's next.
- Compact, tappable date and time pickers.
- "Who's coming" now shows more faces on wider screens.
- Friend cards are now single-line and easier to scan.
- Refreshed circle settings screen.
- Add scheduled plans to your calendar with one tap.
- See who invited you when you join a circle via a shared link.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-09

What's New

• RSVP faster - a new "I'm in" bar sits right at the bottom of every plan, so you can respond in one tap.
• Get a heads up when plans are taking off - once a few friends are in, everyone else gets a quick nudge to join.
• Editing a hangout's time is smoother - change the day or time without losing your notes or getting bounced to another screen.
• Fixed an issue where some circle actions (like muting or removing a member) could silently fail — you'll now see a clear message if something goes wrong.
• The keyboard no longer covers the Post button while you're writing.
• You can now report a post or person right from the app if something feels off.
• Added a "Buy me a coffee" link in Settings, if you'd like to support the app.
• General bug fixes and stability improvements.
