Doesn’t adhere to minimum wage laws! *2026-07-18, version 4.0.7* Wyndy has been alright aside from half of the jobs being partnerships with Upwards which is ridiculous. The biggest issue is the constant lies about how much money you will earn. The notifications will always say $25/h but when you click on the job listing it’s actually only $20/h. A very big difference.. I saw one for $27/h and when I click it’s only for $21/h. There is no consistency in the rate changes, it’s random. I have several screenshots of this happening. They have MULTIPLE listings for $13/h when that isn’t even legal in my state; minimum wage is $14.80! There is zero benefit to the subscription service it seems aside from just funneling more money into the company that wants to lie about pay rates and take from hard working parents/nannies! Just clicked on a $50/h job and it’s actually $40/h!!!! TEN DOLLAR DIFFERENCE!!! ### 1/5 — Incompetent customer service, charged me despite cancelation. *2026-06-08, version 3.13.1* I signed up for the service for the month long trial period. I canceled it within that time and requested account deletion. My account was not deleted several weeks after the fact, and I was charged the full subscription price of $190 even though I canceled within the trial period. Check your credit card statements! This company pulls a fast one on you! Would give zero stars if possible. I didn’t even book anyone. ### 1/5 — Glitchy app, not worth the money *2026-06-02, version 3.13.1* App consistently will not save any profile info entered so I keeps saying I have an incomplete profile when I’ve entered and saved the same info six times!!! Very few jobs listed in my area, will be deleting ### 1/5 — Had a sitter cancel on me 2 hours before the scheduled time and I can’t leave a review *2026-05-23, version 3.13.1* The sitter canceled on me 2 hours before the scheduled time she was supposed to arrive. I had a wedding to attend. I was really disappointed to find that we can’t leave a review on these types of sitters so others can cautiously book with them. There’s no way for me to tell whether this is a pattern of the sitter or even warn others, which is not helpful at all for parents. ### 1/5 — SCAM SCAM SCAM *2026-05-10, version 3.13.1* stay away from this app omg and god please don’t sign up for a subscription. they will charge you $20 a month for no reason with no way to cancel clearly and you can’t even delete your account. i’ve had to dispute charges and even change my card details. this is ridiculous. ### 1/5 — TERRIBLE *2026-05-09, version 3.13.1* I can’t cancel my subscription, I didn’t even sign up for one. SCAM. Do not download ### 2/5 — Paid a sitter to cancel on me *2026-05-06, version 3.13.1* The app charges you $25 to cancel a job in under 48 hours with no option to indicate the sitter was the one who canceled. So while the sitter canceled 45 minutes before show time via text, I got to pay her $20 to cancel just by trying to avoid paying the whole fee. 🫠 I am sure the sitter should have canceled in the app but she didn't. it's definitely not an app I'm comfortable using. ### 1/5 — Job Cancellation Charge and Suspension Threat *2026-05-05, version 3.13.1* If two adults agree to cancel a job for any reason, Wyndy should not penalize the sitter or the parents in doing so. I was a frequent user but I’m appalled by this policy and considering going back to old school word of mouth. Parents are charged $25, $20 goes to sitter and parents are warned that if we cancel 3 jobs in 90 days we’ll be potentially suspended. Overkill! Sitters are threatened to be suspended altogether. ### 1/5 — Warning: they will not delete your account *2026-04-20, version 3.13.1* Do not become a sitter unless you want an exorbitant amount of notifications. Emails, text messages, and notifs on my phone. I’ve tried to delete my account for over a month- nothing. It also wouldn’t update my location (which I hoped would solve the issue, since no parents are in my area). I’m mad I ever signed up for this. Beware. ### 1/5 — Don’t download *2026-03-24, version 3.13.1* Don’t understand why college is a requirement for basic babysitting that seems like such a crock. You’re gonna lose a lot of good babysitters because of that. ### 1/5 — Don’t recommend *2026-03-11, version 3.13.1* They don’t allow career caregivers who haven’t attended any college to apply. As someone who’s been in the industry for 10 years with lots of experience, NCS certification, CPR certification, great reference, and great work ethic. I apparently wasn’t qualified, do not recommend. You don’t need to have college experience for you to exclude you for positions. ### 1/5 — genuinely do not download *2026-02-28, version 3.13.1* once you create an account and set up your bank information, they will just keep charging you every month regardless of if you delete your account. and if you try to cancel your subscription, it will forever be pending. very sad to lose $20 a month for genuinely no reason ### 1/5 — Terrible Terrible Terrible!!! *2026-02-27, version 3.13.1* Both the app and the website don’t work! I paid 19.99 for this?? Really?? I can’t even search for jobs by my area! What gives Wyndy?? Absolutely terrible!! ### 1/5 — Ignoring my requests to cancel account *2026-02-12, version 3.13.1* I set up a sitter account and booked two sitter gigs right away. Received a 5 star review, then nothing, despite expressing interest in dozens of other jobs. Three days before my free trial expires, I’ve requested my account be deleted. This should be an immediate process. There is no good reason for it to take multiple requests. DO NOT RECOMMEND. ### 3/5 — Fine but not great for sitters *2026-02-11, version 3.13.1* I have had good experiences meeting families, but Wyndy does not have my loyalty. My biggest complaint as a sitter is that Wyndy takes an hourly cut of $3/hr from sitters, which quickly adds up. And that’s on top of the fees they charge parents to use the app. Wyndy is not transparent about the fee structure, so parents don’t realize that when they offer $20/hr, sitters only see the job posted at $17. Add in a fee every time you want to deposit earnings into your bank account and this feels rather exploitative of the people who are the bread and butter of the operation. The app is also quite buggy, often sending notifications for jobs in other cities and not loading jobs correctly. This could have been an awesome, much needed new app in this space, but I’m not surprised it isn’t heavily used in markets outside Birmingham where it was started. I’m going to head back to the computer to work on this. Maybe I just forgot but I did not know I would be charged yearly. I requested to get my account deleted and many months went by and there was no update. I had to keep requesting to delete my account and nothing ever happened until I threatened to write a bad review and report to police. I will be reporting the to the BBB and disputing their charges ### 1/5 — Babysitters beware *2026-08-19, version 4.1.0* You’ll look on Google and notice how many jobs seem available through Wyndy. You’ll pay for the background checks, you’ll jump through their hoops. You’ll finally be approved to find…nothing. Empty feed, no jobs. Maybe it was legitimate at one point but how it’s not called a scam is beyond me. Also look closely at those Google ads, you’ll notice they all sound suspiciously similar. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2026-08-03, version 4.0.9* Do not download or sign up for this babysitting app. I downloaded it this summer in hopes I could get a few jobs and I paid for it and had the app for a month with no short term babysitting jobs in my area ever coming up despite me frequently refreshing. So naturally I deleted my account in the app and I have now been charged a Wyndy subscription for 2 months and every time I email customer service it takes multiple days to ever get a word back and after the last time I was told my account was terminated but I am still finding charges on my card. For date nights, events, or even recurring help, it’s been a game changer. We even found our summer nanny through the app! She’s the best, and we truly would not have known her if it wasn’t for Wyndy. The app is seamless to use and having access to dependable childcare whenever we need it has been such a relief for our family… I highly recommend Wyndy to any parent. And for sitters, it’s also such a great way to meet families and find jobs. We’ve tried Care and a couple others, but could never find the right fit. Also, we’ve been able to get a sitter just a few hours ahead of time for impulsive last minute date nights. We have found 3 sitters who we now use regularly. The app interface could use some work, but we found great sitters anyway! ### 5/5 — Babysitters cancel often last minute *2025-05-06* We used Wyndy regularly for a while, then some of the sitters started canceling on us. Recently a sitter did not show up for the job, then canceled it 30min after the scheduled start time. Wyndy sends out an email usually days or weeks after stating they’ll give you $10 credit for that, but you have to book an additional sitter to even get a credit. I would say they’re unreliable and customer service is sub par. ### 5/5 — Wyndy Review *2025-04-14, version 3.13.1* This app is user friendly and really makes the process of finding a trusted babysitter easy. ### 5/5 — Great support team *2024-07-22* I live around Des Moines Iowa and it doesn’t seem like there are many opportunities on there, so I wouldn’t exactly recommend if you’re in a less populated area but I do have to say I reached out to the support team in order to get my refund since I couldn’t find any jobs, not only did they give me the refund but also told me they’d keep my profile active for a year to see if any more opportunities come up, super pleased, bummer their wasn’t a ton of jobs :( ### 5/5 — oh my god why *2024-04-29* Oh my god I was expecting this app to screw me over because I’m looking for a job on it so whatever that’s kind of expected but this app is so stupid why. For some reason every family is only on Wyndy in my local area and if I wanted to look at any of the listing I would have to pay for a subscription. On Google listings I can see many jobs recently posted in my area. I made my availability setting open 24/7 and within 10 miles. My area is very small so I know none of the listings on Google are even that far. But it says there are no opportunities. I know that conflicts with what I can see people are looking for on Google. Why oh my god. I know people must be finding Nanny’s through this app considering everyone is on it but there is no way my settings are not broad enough to encompass those parents considering it’s literally the limit to how broad I can go.
