Yes, you should be able to tune your system to a room by sight and sound... but this app can do it in 10 seconds and pretty much be dead nuts. Multiple venues I’ve been in people have complimented on the clarity of our sound and I grin knowing it was partly due to this software. I really wish they would write the same auto eq for Allen & Heath QU series and Soundcraft ui24r. I would gladly pay for those platforms!! ### 5/5 — Makes our band sound better! *2019-08-19* We are a 6 piece covers band that plays in Hertfordshire uk. We use this software to tame poor venue acoustics. Due to simplicity of design we are able to use it for pub gigs where often there isn't much set up time. Experienced sound engineers can probably tell which frequencies are an issue for a given venue and sort by ear. If you aren't and can't, this software will do it for you in 10 seconds. You can also save all of your venues in memory so merely need to recall for the next gig. Essentially wirelessly connects to mixer graphic eq and tweaks it to give you flat response. You will need to feed your PA with a noise generator and it will analyse the room with the mic in your iPhone or iPad before tweaking your graphic for you. Turns out the mic in he iPad is more than adequate for this purpose in practice despite some people being concerned it isn't a reference mic. Extremely reliable .. has never hung or crashed. The corrected eq curve is heavenly. I will use this at every show. It’s so simple and effective. ### 5/5 — Works well for me *2018-03-03* It connected easily to my mixer once I set the IP address. I took a couple of minutes to look through all the options. Next I piped pink noise into the mixer. Then I selected the options that seemed most appropriate and the app setup the mixer’s EQ. It was not very complicated. This is a one purpose app and it accomplished that purpose. I’ll try using this at the next gig. Thanks to the developer for making apps for this brand of mixers. ### 5/5 — Wow- so much for the "tough room" *2017-09-30* Make your band sound as good as it can, and make people wonder how you do it. We all think we know how to set up the EQ right? I mean what drummer doesn't know how to make the FOH sound great? Uh, that would be me. So I have been making the band sound better ever since I got an XR18 because it's a killer unit. But it's always been hard to really get a good proper EQ Not any more. Now it takes 10 seconds and BAM, it sets you up perfectly. Then, you can also then push "save", and that room will always sound good from now on. And for $9? It's a bargain the first time you use it. Hint. It's got a slight learning curve in getting it set up, so play with it in the studio a few times before the first gig- cuz once it's set up, it's virtually a 10-second deal.
