Once you’ve paid it, you still get commercials if you want to revive yourself. Also, the worst part is it freezes your phone screen and does not allow you to get into anything for a period of time. Please revert your versions back to how it was before. ### 1/5 — i miss the old version *2025-03-11, version 2.7.6* i hate the new game, i’ve tried to get into it and i cannot pls change it back i hate the new one so much ### 1/5 — Changes for the worst *2025-02-08, version 2.6.9* X Blocks was the game I downloaded and loved; the size of the playing field, the variety and consistency in block sizes and colors helped with memory and strategy of block placement, the variety of themes (loved dark mode), and the ability to be strategic and have fun with the endless game. But now, that’s all changed. The name, the blocks, themes, and user interface is no longer what I enjoyed and wanted. X Blocks was what I enjoyed, not this. I’ve continued playing in hopes that I wasn’t just being upset about change, giving it a chance and just dealing with not having what I originally downloaded, but it’s proven itself out to not be enjoyable at all. It doesn’t take much to figure out the game is designed to be enjoyable for the first 15-20 cycles of blocks. They’re easy to place and easy to clear your playing field, but then you are clearly given blocks that don’t work, blocks that don’t assist you or any strategy. With a smaller playing field, you are much more limited, and then you have to buy into watching an ad to continue or just giving them money. Either way they’re getting paid and that’s the point. The goal of this new interface is to cause more opportunities for ads and money in their pocket; not for the longevity of gameplay and user enjoyment. I’m not impressed and have decided to remove the app and move on. Very disappointed. And I’ve already messaged them a while ago directly with my concerns and comments with them saying they’d forward them to the developers to consider reverting some things back to the way they were. Not so. No changes whatsoever. So, for everyone else who wants this, have at it, but I’m not impressed. Don’t give your users something great, and then do a complete makeover for the worse. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2024-12-31, version 2.6.3* The new update is terrible. Everyhting changed and the game now isn’t the same. No sudoku mode, no different themes, it looks like the blocks are bigger somehow. It’s just so wrong and not something we can learn to love to come around to.
