If you are using X-Plane 11 as well as X-Plane 10.40 or later, TRY NEWLY RELEASED X-MAPPER TNG (free App) INSTEAD. *This application requires full or demo version of X-Plane 9 or ​10 Desktop (for Mac/​Windows/​Linux). CANNOT used with X-Plane Mobile for iPhone/​iPad. FEATURES “X-Mapper Lite” works combined with the computer version of X-Plane flight simulator. It offers a simple but useful functionality to the simulator: tracking the location and the heading of the simulated aircraft in the real-world map. It can be used for following purposes: –Watching topography and street patterns for more precise pilotage navigation. –Making aware of world-wide geography for more joyful sightseeing flight. –Tracing accurate traffic patterns for more efficient training. –Getting details of taxiways and facilities in complicated airports. HOW TO USE Launch X-Plane on a computer and follow in-App instructions to setup network connection. The location and heading of the simulated aircraft will be displayed with an orange icon when settings completed and a network connection established. You can switch Tracking Mode (auto scrolling) by airplane button. Other map manipulations are same as the standard “Maps” application. MULTI-DEVICE CONNECTION You can connect up to four iPhone/​iPad devices running multiple X-Mappers at the same time. Download and install X-Mapper Lite for each device. GETTING X-PLANE Desktop (Mac/​Windows/​Linux) version of X-Plane 9 (9.69 or later) or 10 is required to use this application: It can’t be used for Mobile (iPhone/​iPad) version of X-Plane. Open “Obtain X-Plane” from the ⓘInfo Menu for ordering the full version or downloading the free Demo version. In other words, you cannot change it. Neither this app nor the game allows you to change the port number to enable this app to work. Recommend changing the port number to match the one used on the latest X Plane 10 game. Version 1.2.3 added instructions to setup X-Plane 11. Note that using this application with X-Plane 11 is unsupported though you can still try it with certain settings for the mean time. X-Mapper Lite isn’t guaranteed to work with future versions of X-Plane 11 and no more supports multi-device connection. As the release of this update, the support for X-Mapper Lite is discontinued. Instead, we are introducing a successor application “X-Mapper TNG” with formal support for X-Plane 11 and unlimited multiple device support. If you are using X-Plane 11 as well as X-Plane 10.40 or later, please try the alternative application for free. ### 1.2.2 — 2016-04-01 Version 1.2.2 fixes the layout disorder on iOS 9.3 as well as gets the screen layout optimized for new devices such as iPhone 6. ### 1.2.1 — 2014-09-28 Version 1.2.1 fixes a minor bug where the application language was forced into Japanese with non-English modes of iOS 8. ### 1.2.0 — 2014-09-10 Version 1.2.0 changes the net connection scheme, that allows multi-device connection. ALLOWS MULTI-DEVICE CONNECTION As the net connection scheme changed, it now allows you to connect up to four iPone/iPad devices running multiple X-Mappers at the same time. Assign each device’s IP address to each EFIS App channel of X-Plane. USER INTERFACE REFINEMENTS FOR iOS 7 The App’s user interface has been refined to adapt to new systems such as iOS 7, iPhone 5 and newer ones. Although minor changes have been brought into the design and the layout, the basic operations are same as previous version. ### 1.1.3 — 2012-10-08 Version 1.1.3 fixes a glitch in iOS 6 and adds Action Menu. *This is the last version which is compatible with iOS 5 or prior. App Store provides this version for devices with iOS 4 or iOS 5. FIXES iOS 6 GLITCH Improves the drawing method for the plane icon to avoid a glitch in iOS 6 caused by the new map’s functionality. ADDS ACTION MENU Adds Action Menu at the upper-right that offers supplementary commands for the application functionality.
