## What is X?

Your Shakuhachi Practice Companion.

Your Teacher/Master transmits the tradition. You practise. X-RYŪUN accompanies you between lessons.

Start by calibrating your shakuhachi. Then work on your sound and long tones — Robuki — on RO or other notes, so that repetition helps build your playing rather than gradually reinforcing mistakes.

Play your pieces. Record your own performance — or analyse the performance of any other player — across 100 criteria organised into 3 pillars: Sound Physics, Psychoacoustics and Japanese Aesthetics.

Compare interpretations, discover what brings them together and what sets them apart, understand what needs further work, and focus your practice on what can genuinely help you progress.

X-RYŪUN brings together the practice tools of ROBUKI TRAINER and the analytical capabilities of SHAKU EVAL in a single environment.

With respect for the lineages and traditions through which shakuhachi has been passed down, X-RYŪUN accompanies your practice between lessons with your Teacher/Master.
