Since you tell the AI where you’ve moved to, it’s very difficult to out maneuver higher Pilot Skill AI, but an interesting challenge non the less. Now, i play 2.0 and it seems like the only thing the app takes into account is ps, so it’s pretty easy to adjust. However, it would be super cool to see this app updated to 2.0. I would gladly pay 1.99 for the full app. ### 4/5 — It’s great for Solo play or just to practice your skills. *2018-09-07, version 1.5* I am really enjoying using this app. Solo playing the ‘Heroes of the Aturi Cluster’ using this app. It works great and I like that I don’t need to reference the ship cards since all the steps are shown in the app. It gives an element of surprise as the ships don’t always maneuver as you plan out so makes it more exciting. The only real problem I have with it is that it doesn’t save the list. I noticed that the list always deletes overnight or after long periods of not using the app. Also if the phone reboots or anything that would wipe the memory. I know it’s a minor inconvenience to redo the list but for having to pay $2 in order to use the full list, it’s keeping me from giving a full five stars. It would be nice to have a few more features such as showing a full list in one display, saving the list (for future plays), and I didn’t see any options for the epic huge ships. I’m still trying things out so if those options are in there or if they are ever added in, then this app would deserve a full five stars. I hope it gets updated for X-Wing 2.0 (but still have the option for 1.0) because I plan to keep using his app for a long time. Seriously? *2021-03-25, version 2.5.1* I was very interested in this app, till I saw you have to have a subscription to play 2.0. What a joke. Offer a one time full purchase of the app. What a let down. ### 1/5 — Terrible new update *2020-06-26, version 2.1.2* While this was a pretty fun app, the 2.0 update ruins it, while I payed for the ability to have more ships at the time, it now wants me to pay a monthly subscription to use it. That’s just ridiculous, especially since this isn’t an official app, just go to the free browser based AIs. ### 1/5 — Making money off other people’s free content. *2020-06-20, version 2.1* I could understand maybe a small one off purchase being okay for this as it is a nicely implemented app, but $1.49 for a ‘free week trial’ or $16 for a yearly subscription? That is shameful considering this is essentially modified free content that was released by members of the gaming community. The tag line for this ‘free’ app is A.I for X-Wing 2.0 yet that feature is locked completely behind a paywall. Did you talk to any of these content creators before charging for the things they created? Congratulations. But the problem is, it keeps telling me I need to buy it over and over again. Each time, it recognizes that I have already paid the dollar and says I’m good to go, but then when I try to load a scum ship it goes right back to asking me to pay. This thing is absolutely broken. I put ships in the list but the AI never chooses it own maneuvers. How do I get the AI to choose maneuvers? ### 2/5 — No more subscriptions *2021-02-13, version 2.4.1* This is a great AI, but I will absolutely not pay a subscription after previously paying for the app. Back to the browser-based and completely free implementations for me. ### 2/5 — Needs an update *2017-05-31, version 1.4* Not a bad app, but it needs a few things added. It would be easier to have an outline of a map to show that you are playing on a 3 x 3 with moveable icons representing the ships, so you know how much room you have when using the app by yourself. With icons of the opposite team so it would make the App think and you think about its next move. Also when you make the purchase it needs to tell you that you got the upgrade if the huge ships to add more ships and not spin as if it processing. Allow me to rename and/or assign numbers to a unit. In a big battle I have a hard time keeping squads of same numbers straight. 2. Allow us to warn AI of potential collisions. With the lockdown situation, or if you happen to have some down time and want to get some practice in it’s well worth it. There are some pay for features but let’s face it, it’s Star Wars x wing so everything is pay for. But believe me it’s well worth it. Update 25/02/2021 It’s been a mental year and this app has helped me keep my sanity while playing Star Wars X wing miniatures game. The updates just add to the app’s quality and it continues to improve. Honestly I’m not on the dev’s payroll I just genuinely love this app!! The app isn’t perfect; for instance it doesn’t know where obstacles are, or exactly where other ships may be, which leads to a few more collisions than normal. In those cases you give the AI some wiggle room and you make a better decision on their behalf. The interface makes sense and it has allowed me to play the game under quarantine which is all I wanted from such a thing. ### 5/5 — Amazing for Heroes of the Aturi Cluster *2020-07-13, version 2.1.2* I’ve been a long time user of the app, and had the privilege to work on the beta team for the 2.0 launch. This app performs fantastically for both solo play and campaign missions in HotAC.
