### 3/5 — Glitches

*2025-10-06*

After I input data the app deletes it and I have to re enter my reps the next time I open the app. I have asked for help on the FB page and no one has provided support. I have been waiting for three weeks.

### 2/5 — Ok, but

*2025-07-30*

App is ok, but it could be greatly improved within the creating custom workout section. It would be extremely useful if you could add a specific exercise into a custom workout more than once! Let’s say you want to do 2 sets of chest press, it would be nice if they let you add multiples of the same exercise into your custom workout!

### 3/5 — Very basic

*2025-04-03, version 2.0.7*

It’s an OK app, it doesn’t integrate with Apple health to record a training session and it only shows the results for the last session, so if you cut a session short, the next session will show a zero for last results for any exercise you didn’t do so I don’t know what I’m aiming to beat.

### 4/5 — Does what it’s meant to do

*2025-01-11*

Nice app and easy to use. Only two things I’d request to have added:

1. The various squats added, as it relates to the X3 squat belt.
2. Maybe a progress import/export feature that supports a lightweight and easy format such as CSV, so I can transfer my progress to a new mobile device when needed.

Updated Jan. 11, 2025:

Now that we have the squat belt exercises included, and the great new UI is available, a couple more things:

1. It would be awesome to have the ability to log multiple sets of the same exercise in custom workouts, or perhaps just make the hypertrophy program exercises available as an option.
2. The focused exercises such as straight leg dead lift, overhead tricep extension, shallow squats, etc. would be nice to be able to add to custom exercises as well.
3. A progress export option would still be awesome for folks who choose not to subscribe to the X3 Force app.

### 4/5 — Good updates

*2025-01-01*

Liking the new updates as it was difficult to track when doing the hypertrophy program. Would like to see the lateral raise, seated calf raises, and wrist curls added in.

### 4/5 — Sync between devices?

*2024-12-09*

I’m only on day one, but wanted to suggest the ability to sync the data for the app installed on multiple devices.

Could be really useful to pull up and enter data on the phone or the tablet, depending on what’s handy. Would also save entering workout data redundantly on multiple devices.

### 4/5 — New version keeps improving

*2024-10-07, version 2.0.5*

The old version was pretty good and so is the new. Developer keeps updating with improvements and fixes, which is great. I'd prefer the display of the workouts to have larger fonts as they're hard to read at a glance whilst working out.

### 3/5 — Good for original band set only

*2024-10-06*

This app does the job if you’re using the original program with the original bands. The problem is, many people have since upgraded to the paraforce bands which this app does not track. Also, it does not allow stacking bands.

### 4/5 — I hope they add the hypertrophy program!

*2024-09-22*

App does the job but I’ve switched to the hypertrophy program so can no longer use it really.

### 3/5 — New version has regressions

*2024-09-12*

The old version was pretty good and so is the new, but the option to include pec crossover with the push day has gone, so I've had to create a custom workout to include that exercise, which means that my push day progress won't track from my old push workout. Also the display of the workouts has smaller fonts which are harder to read at a glance whilst working out.

### 4/5 — Long overdue update

*2024-09-11*

This is a nice improvement. I would give it five stars but the push day workout is missing the pec crossover. Maybe the pec crossover is no longer recommended for push day. The new changes include options use the longer bar, the squat belt and the paraforce bands with the ability to stack the bands.

**Developer response:** Hello! We have added back the ability to toggle pec crossover for workouts.
Please install the latest version 2.0.2, and don't hesitate to contact customer support at cs@jaquishbiomedical.com if you have any further issues!

### 2/5 — My recommendations

*2024-09-05*

I own an x3 elite, mostly because of how simple and convenient it is. I often use it with bad or no internet connection, which is why I opted out of the force bar.

With program and product updates, this app needs to be updated in tandem. Specifically the hypertrophy program. Getting those exercises on would be great. And for long bar users, force estimations would also be appreciated for the different bands. And how about layering band options if you have the paraforce bands? My last recommendation would be to include all videos in the app itself, not links to view them. I cannot access any of the existing links right now because of the internet connection issue.

I hope my recommendations are helpful, and I think there is relatively little work for the app developers to make this product a true companion for the x3 system.

### 2/5 — Needs updated

*2024-07-31, version 1.0.14*

This apps needs updates. The instructional video links don’t work. I see the X3 force is getting updates but that can’t be used unless you have that model bar. Please keep this app up to date for all the users of the traditional model. Thank you.

### 3/5 — Needs improvement

*2024-06-16, version 1.0.14*

App is ok but needs improvement, needs ability to use more than one band on exercises, needs ability to write notes on each exercise at a minimum.

### 4/5 — Updates please

*2024-06-01, version 1.0.14*

Great basic app.

Would love options to allow you to stack multiple paraforce bands and track that.
Also would like option to record long bar and squat belt. Pretty please.

### 3/5 — Good but limited

*2024-05-30, version 1.0.14*

The progress tracking lacks the ability to reset or edit completed workouts.

If you make an entry error you cannot correct it then your progress tracking is completely thrown off.

If you stop using the system and you start again the app still shows the progress where you were and not where you are and how you are progressing currently.

### 4/5 — Does what it’s meant to do

*2024-05-23*

Nice app and easy to use. Only two things I’d request to have added:

1. The various squats added, as it relates to the X3 squat belt.
2. Maybe a progress import/export feature that supports a lightweight and easy format such as CSV, so I can transfer my progress to a new mobile device when needed.

### 2/5 — Instructional video links

*2024-01-31, version 1.0.14*

I really like the app and use it on a daily basis. However, I am really disappointed that the links to the instructional videos suddenly stopped working. I lean on those videos to keep me using proper form. Please resolve the issue as it is affecting use of not only the application but also the equipment itself.

### 4/5 — Everything it’s good except…

*2024-01-21, version 1.0.14*

A little bug… I can’t see the progress of some of the exercices : chess press, deadlift, bentrow, etc… the app is closing when try to see the progress of a particular exercice.

### 3/5 — Custom Order for Custom Workout would be Great!

*2023-12-12, version 1.0.14*

The ability to do custom workouts is great. However it’s very jumbled having to work with the static listing of the exercises - and it’s hard to know what you did when with all the old data populated.

Can you amend the functionality so we can drag things around and create our own custom exercise sequence/order? Then make it STICKY so we can save it and use it again in the future. Thanks!

### 3/5 — Pretty good needs work

*2023-11-15, version 1.0.14*

It is essential that the demonstration videos work for beginners and veterans alike. Also, band stacking and doubling should also be able to be indicated.

### 4/5 — Needs work

*2023-06-12*

The app works fine for the most part, it’s just a logger so it doesn’t require much.
My only complaint is my current workout gets erased when scrolling apps on my phone between reps. Changing a song or reading emails will cause my current progress to disappear, annoying to constantly re enter. When someone starts a workout, it should stay logged in the system whether it was competed or not. I’ve lost many records when the app somehow closed instead of saving. Now I write my reps done before entering in the app, but it shouldn’t have to be this way. Thank you and I hope this review makes sense.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App keeps crashing

*2026-02-28*

I like the tracking feature. Show previous reps when you start a new workout. The links to the instructional videos are nice, but the app crashes when I try to full screen the video or turn my phone sideways and I lose my whole workout.

### 1/5 — Still no updates for hypertrophy regimen

*2025-08-16*

It’s been a year since the hypertrophy regimen came out, but the app hasn’t been updated for it.

### 1/5 — Outdated App

*2025-02-15*

Hypertrophy program has been out for awhile. Why doesn’t the app include it? Or at least the ability to create an ACTUAL custom workout. When creating a custom workout you can only choose the canned entries. Once you’ve chosen one, it disappears, so you can’t add multiple sets of the same exercise.

### 1/5 — Instructional Video Not Working

*2024-08-22, version 1.0.14*

The link for the instruction video doesn’t work when pressed! This app needs tone rewritten from the ground up for sure. App hasn’t been updated in 2 years.

### 1/5 — Instructional videos for exercises don’t work

*2024-04-29, version 1.0.14*

The instructional videos on how each exercise are supposed to be done won’t load from this app. On X3s official YouTube channel the videos aren’t there. This IS a good system and luckily the videos DID work back when I first started using X3 years ago so I mostly remember.

But for newcomers, they are getting shafted for such an important part of the X3 system. This app on both Android and iOS looks like it was completely abandoned in favor of the x3 force app which needs an expensive subscription to work. And is made specifically for their more expensive x3 Force bar.

I thought the whole point of x3 was cancelling gym subscriptions? Well guess what? They wanna sell you one just to use your gear and learn how to use it! I can’t in good conscience recommend this system to newbies with the basic app in this state. It’s a shame because again it IS a good system otherwise, the bar, bands and plate are all well made gym equipment…

### 1/5 — Instructional videos don’t work

*2023-05-20, version 1.0.14*

I would like to use the videos to watch as a new user but they don’t load. No update in over a year.

### 1/5 — Links to videos do not work

*2023-04-16, version 1.0.14*

Just purchased the X3 Bar and I’m excited to get started, however the links to the video do not work as of 4/16/2023. Also, it would help to some instructions/explanations of the options in the settings section. There are a couple of toggle switches there but it’s not clear to me what their purpose is. If I see improvements, I’ll update my review.

### 1/5 — Videos link doesn’t work anymore

*2023-02-26, version 1.0.14*

Bad app for such an excellent product. Hope the app can be fixed

### 1/5 — Videos

*2023-02-12, version 1.0.14*

The link to videos instructions work either. Waste of app

### 1/5 — Instructional Videos Don’t Work

*2022-12-19, version 1.0.14*

Why do u have links to instructional videos that don’t load?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great App - Request update

*2025-01-06*

I love the update, includes paraforce bands and stacking. One request would be to add the Gen2 performance bands as an option.

### 5/5 — Tracking made easy

*2024-09-29*

This is by far the easiest way and best way for me to track my days. I’d love to see the option to add the new program in, or be able to make it in the custom.

### 5/5 — Lite, functional, intuitive

*2023-04-12, version 1.0.14*

Easy and simple.

Question: on pull day, can you offer a “split deadlift” (“kickstand deadlift”) format similar to the split squat option on push day?

### 5/5 — Lite, functional, intuitive

*2022-06-17, version 1.0.14*

This app continues to get better and better without being bulky.

Question: on pull day, can you offer a “split deadlift” (“kickstand deadlift”) format similar to the split squat option on push day?

### 5/5 — Great app for X3 users but could use a Health Kit integration

*2022-01-11, version 1.0.13*

If you have an X3 bar, you need this app. The one thing it could use is an Apple HealthKit integration because having to add in workout data manually to Apple Health is a pain. Otherwise, it’s really good to keep you on tack for your fitness goals!

### 5/5 — Updated version not good.

*2021-10-20, version 1.0.9*

**Updated review**

I want to say that I was pleasantly surprised by the updates made by the developer. I did not expect my voice to be heard. They fixed all of my issues and I am happy to say I am once again using this app as my daily tracker. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Original review

The original version was simple but got the job done. Since the update, when I select a new workout it does not record the reps from the previous workout. Without this, I essentially feel like I’m going into a workout just winging it. Without goals, how are you supposed to make progress. Definitely don’t have time to be switching back and forth between old and current workout. This is a deal breaker for me. Will be looking to use a different app or move back to my paper journal unless they bring this back.

### 5/5 — Easy to Use!

*2021-05-24, version 1.0.5*

This is the perfect app! It is easy to use and keeps me from doubling up my days. I also love tracking my progress through the daily protocols. This is the perfect compliment to the X3 Bar.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2019-10-11, version 1.0.2*

It’s very simple to follow. Tracking my workouts and progress motivates me to keep going. The workout reminders are a huge plus and never leave me a day without my workout!

### 5/5 — Just right

*2019-08-23, version 1.0.2*

I find this app to be just the right tool to aide in keeping track of my X3Bar workouts. It’s easy to use and provides a quick reference for improvements made in strength

### 5/5 — Simple and Functional.

*2019-06-25, version 0.0.1*

It's clearly a first version app, but it has simple and clear data logging and provides much better visualization of progress than pen and paper record keeping would. The bar colors in the bar chart match the band colors you used for that exercise, which is an excellent idea.
