Having used this weather app for a few months I see it has the same ease of use and attention to detail. I highly recommend this app to anyone, amateur or pro. Far fewer wasted nights with fingers crossed hoping for clear skies. Plan your viewing around this app and you won’t be disappointed. Violates all visual accessibility requirements. Can’t believe developers are still trying to get away with apps that look like this. **Developer response:** Hi. Sorry the app was not helpful to you, but i am not sure what you mean exactly, the weather view is specifically designed to give you an overview at a glance and most users seem to appreciate it. It also supports dynamic type, so it follows your accessibility settings for large fonts etc. Could you elaborate perhaps beyond "looks like garbage"? ### 1/5 — Crashes constantly *2024-02-09* This app keeps crashing and is unusable **Developer response:** Hello. Sorry about your experience, but if you have crashes, you can always use the contact form to get help (see astro.ecuadors.net). It should be something very specific as I do get crash reports (from users that have allowed it when first setting up their phone) and nothing has come through lately despite thousands of users. If you want developers to receive your crash reports automatically, go to your phone settings -> privacy & security -> Analytics & Improvements and enable "Share with App Developers". ### 2/5 — App rarely updates on iPhone *2025-06-16, version 4.9* Love the app. But the data seems to never update. Neither does the website. The data is important and strategic to my hobby. Thanks. ### 3/5 — Updated review *2017-04-03, version 1.9* Review updated, app should be working again soon ### 4/5 — App update doesn’t scale on iPhone *2026-05-05* Love the app. Latest 5.0 release doesn’t scale when viewed vertically on the iPhone. Annoying to rotate horizontally, sometimes requiring 2 hands. I miss the +/- buttons on previous version. The developers are amazingly responsive and have already contacted me for more info on my experience. **Developer response:** Hi. The old version had +/- buttons to shrink vertically and allow the bottom table to show more locations. The new version has a button that pops up the recent locations so it can use the whole vertical height for the forecast. So, I am not sure why you would miss the +/- buttons, but I would be interested to hear your reasoning if you use the contact page at astro.ecuadors.net or even directly to ecuador_gr at hotmail.com, especially how would you want the space used if the view could shrink like before and what you mean about requiring 2 hands. Thanks. ### 4/5 — OK *2023-08-19, version 4.5* Me gustaría que estuviera en español ### 4/5 — Nice app. How about notifications? *2020-08-22* I would love to get notifications when the seeing will be good and clouds minimal. **Developer response:** The issue with notifications is that weather forecasts, depending where you are located, might be quite unreliable. I can't really send a notification telling someone to plan something when there is a very high risk involved. It might also be that I personally hate excessive notifications, so if I made one myself I would want to make sure it is a very valuable one, something hard with weather forecasts. Hence, as you can see with the 3.0 update, I spend more time developing things like extra weather sources etc that I consider more helpful for most users. ### 4/5 — Xasteria *2019-06-15* I have been using Xasteria for about 2 months and have been very pleased with it, however it has recently stopped working completely. I have tried reinstalling it but it still won’t work. Is there a problem? If it was still working I would have left 5 stars. **Developer response:** Hi. The 7Timer service that Xasteria uses as the default source had stopped updating due to changes in the NOAA data stream. However it was fixed, so you shouldn't have any issues.
