Additionally, the software’s creator has been very responsive in addressing questions and correcting minor issues in the app. Couldn’t be more pleased with the application. I recently stayed up a bit later (upon reading elsewhere of good viewing), and wondered just why all seemed somewhat hazy/ cloudy….or something. Remembering to check this app ended up telling me all I needed to know (and then some, what with the options!). It's now my go-to. It's also so good on the iPad. ### 5/5 — Very well done. Has a lot of useful functions for the backyard astronomer. Highly suggest it. ### 5/5 — The best astronomy weather app *2022-04-09* First I tried the Clear Outside app. Terrible UI and totally outdated format and crashed often. Next I tried Scope Nights. Definitely a step up, but then it started to have a pop up saying there was an error for every single one of my saved locations and they would appear every time a new page loaded. With a lot of saved locations it became really bothersome to clear so many pop up notifications whenever I was using the app. This app has none of those problems and a much better system for saving favorite locations. I don’t except I’ll need to keep hunting for the perfect astronomy weather app anymore. ### 5/5 — Very nice App *2022-01-01* I like the app! Add german language please! **Developer response:** Glad you like it. The app is not made for profit (the paid version was only added recently to cover part of the cost of the 7Timer weather servers), so I wouldn't hire someone to translate an app I do for free, I'd need volunteers. I did the 2 languages I speak fluently myself (English and Greek), and only did French when I had the help of a volunteer, as my French is not to be trusted. If I had offers for translating into other languages, I'd happily provide the language files to be translated. ### 5/5 — Amazing productivity *2021-12-27* Powerful way to see multiple Astro weather sites all managed by location favorites which carry over to each weather service you use. ### 5/5 — Good app *2021-10-29* I like this app a lot but would love it more if there was a way to get an automatic notification based on there being favourable star-gazing conditions expected during the coming night. **Developer response:** Admittedly, it is the most asked-for feature. I have refrained so far because I dislike notifications if they are not super-relevant myself, and that's something quite hard to do right with a subject such as weather forecast. I would appreciate it if you messaged me via the home page (astro.ecuadors.net) contact page to explain what you feel is missing compared to the previous version that caused the 1 star rating. I always take feedback into account when updating the app. ### 1/5 — 騙された *2023-12-23* Light Polution Mapが表示できると、まずフリー版で確認したところ「カナダなど」に限定されているので、もっと拡張したければ有料版へとメッセージが出た それで100円払って「プラス版」を購入したら、Light Plution Mapの限定っぷりは変わらず、天気予報の提供先が増えました 要らないです **Developer response:** Sorry, but something must have been lost in translation. The tab that is limited to Canada/USA/Mexico is "Clear Sky Charts" (CSC). It is a weather forecast, not a light pollution map, based on the Canadian weather service. The Pro version replaces it with other global forecasts. The light polution map is the button above that that says "Bortle". You do not need the Pro version for that, it shows the light pollution in your area, wherever you are, and at the bottom of that page there is a button to open the global map. Version 5 should not have any issues with Meteoblue, if you'd like to like to give it a try. ### 2/5 — App crashes, support messaging does not work *2023-06-23* After purchasing the app, I found that if you select the Apple weather tab, it causes the app to crash, and is no longer able to be opened and has to be uninstalled/re-installed to be able to use it. The app has a link to their support messaging page, but when you try to send a message it errors out and says “ The form was unable to submit. Please contact the site administrator.“ **Developer response:** Hi. Apologies for that. I am trying to figure out the messaging page, another user mentioned the same thing - the contact form also lists my email so they messaged me directly. Anyway, Apple weather started sending unexpected data that could crash the app a few days ago. It was immediately fixed by correcting the data on the fly for old versions and a new version of the app was released a few days later that won't crash if anything like that happens again. Edit: Thanks for including the exact error message by the way, I googled it and found the problem with the form plugin I was using!
