Given that wasn’t in the app description but that’s a pretty basic feature for a $30 content blocking app. I understand I can do this through iOS settings but that forces you to also block sites that Apples seems “adult content”. Would rather do everything through this content blocker. Whitelisting would also be a welcomed feature. In addition to very limited functionality, the app’s interface seems very half baked - especially in dark mode. I need to make some changes and emailed them directly and I was completely shocked how simple it was to work with the developer. Passcode protection is garbage. In order to activate it developer sends you to the Screen Time menu in Settings and suggests to disable the installation and deletion of other apps which is nonsense and set a password to undo this change. 3. It blocks way to many websites. Yes, I want pornography to be blocked but half of websites I’m trying to go are blocked and have nothing to do with porn. I think that description is misleading and implementation is clumsy. ### 1/5 — Misleading *2019-06-15* It is an excellent blocker... That much should be clear. However, one of the deciding factors for me was the claim “Password Protected”. I found that their password protection is NOT an independent feature of the app, but simply a tutorial of how to implement Apple’s restriction features. The reason independent password protection (to keep one from uninstalling the app, or changing a setting) was important to me is that I know how to get around Apple’s restrictions. Now it may be an issue with software integration or some other factor(s), but I wish they would not have claimed that it was password protected when it is not.. the password protection is not their feature as far as I can tell. It is Apple’s feature. I am happy to pay money for something like this. It is far more important to me that I live without Porn (of any kind) than to have the thirty dollars it costs for this app, but that is a very steep price for any app. To have to pay that much and find out afterwords that it did not have the independent features advertised or that I hoped for was very disappointing to me. I am currently trying another app called “PURGE”. It has different features within the app which are protected by a password. It only costs a one-time payment of $1.99 for full access. Personally I recommend that app above this one. Seems to do the same thing without misleading advertisement at a fraction of the price. With all that said, it is still effective if you don’t delete it or get around it in a moment of temptation. **Developer response:** Hey, I am sorry to hear that. We are not misleading people as we clearly state in the app description that our app requires the restriction passcode to work safely. We could offer a passcode inside the app but you would still be able to delete the entire app, which makes the passcode pointless. Support is on vacation, so good luck getting it blocked. Would have thought a porn site of it's popularity would for certain be blocked. But it was not. Also- no password protection except for your own iPhone restrictions app. Really? Oh- and Only a Safari blocker? Useless App. Do not pay for it to try it out - Just tried PURGE. It's $2, no subscription, has a separate password protection, and also filters everything! Awesome!
