## What is XBRecipeWriter?

This app is for rewriting XBloom NFC cards and pods. You must use it with original NFC tags contained in either XBloom cards or pods. To start either begin by reading in an NFC tag by touching the read icon on the main page or import a recipe. To import a recipe, open up the XBloom share link in your mobile phone's browser, select the share button, and select the XBRecipeWriter app. If you are interested in any other functionality, or if things don't look right, please select the "?" next to each field, which will hopefully explain things better. Keep in mind, not all recipe functionality works with the NFC tags. For example, you can't set 1/2 ratios (e.g. .5) or turn off the grinder. Importantly, the NFC tags are assumed to be 15G of coffee, so the app makes certain volume and ratio adjustments to compensate for that. You can read more by clicking the "?" next to Machine Ratio and/or Total Volume.

### 1/5 — Unable to contact support, cards do not load to xBloom machine

*2026-02-07*

The "App Support" email address bounces. Here is what I attempted to email to the support team. Unless I can get it working, I have to give it a "non-functional" 1-star review. That said, I would rather be helpful and fix the issue.

I love the [idea of] the app. I have a small coffee Roastery and we want to sell xBloom pods. We have xBloom machines and have also sold a few to some of our customers. We have the RFID card materials. However, because we have Mac computers I was unable to install the xBloom supplied or RFID card writer software (Windows exe files). I found this app online, installed it, imported a recipe, loaded a card, and everything looked great!

However, after creating our first sample card, it does not appear to load onto the device. I noticed that the XID field is missing and don’t see any way to find that. Help! Is there something we need to do when saving the recipe that we are building to ensure that it gets populated or approved with an XID number? The share link from the xBloom app after creating a new recipe pulls up just fine online. Thanks!
