Just recently the app crashes whenever I click to reset a race or print scores. It will not let me make a new race. I have deleted the app many times to try and fix it. Anyone else having this issue and how did they fix it? I really want to use it next week for my meet. I will fix the star from 1-4 if it can be a fix. The tech guy on my campus thinks it’s a fix on the developers side. ### 4/5 — Emailing Issues *2020-09-14* I love this app and have used it in the past for XC Meets, however I had to download it on a new iPad this year and it will not let me email the results. When I click the email results button nothing happens. The screen that used to appear to type in the email addresses doesn’t appear. Simple to use controls with nice features like tracking number of runners scores for each team. Only drawback is the score isn’t adjusted for incomplete teams. ### 4/5 — Great App! *2014-10-01* I am a high school cross country coach and we use this app to score our home meets. It works great to get quick results at the end of the meet. We connect a keyboard through BlueTooth to type in runner names. Warning- you must be 100% accurate with the finishing order. A "misplaced" runner requires deleting that and all subsequent runners from the race and re-scoring thereafter. If the app was able to swap runners between teams to correct a misplaced runner it would be perfect. Timing is great- but any close finishes require a careful eye and fast fingers. ### 3/5 — Coach *2014-09-07* Works ok for small races. The voice recording does not work but the main problem on the iPad is that the team boxes need to be smaller so that more fit on the screen. Only 5 teams fit on the screen I think and it is too hard to try and scroll to find a team during a race. You miss runners that way. ### 1/5 — RECORDER/MICROPHONE DOES NOT WORK!! *2014-09-04* THE APP DOES NOT WORK, and there is no real customer support or contact phone or email. I bought this app because I thought it had a working recorder! However, even if I follow the prompt and allow the app access to my microphone and turn the microphone on at the bottom of the main screen, the microphone/ recorder does not work. It continues to display "Unfortunately, due to the microphone being disabled, no audio was recorded for this position"! DO NOT BUY THIS APP UNTIL THEY FIX IT! ### 5/5 — Score is Correct *2013-10-26* October 26, 2013 I can confirm that the scoring is perfectly accurate. The places shown are the raw results, but when scoring you need to take out runners 8+ and all runners whose team had fewer than 5 finishers. When you score it is as if those runners did not finish. Thus any runners who finished after them get a lower scoring place. I tested several scenarios and in each case this app was correct. I gave 5 stars for accuracy and because the e-mail function worked better than I had expected, dropping both team and individual results into nicely formatted tables. It also attached a CSV file for importing into a spreadsheet! On the iPhone 5 I can see 6 teams without scrolling. Ideas to improve: 1. A fast way to undo a mistaken entry. An undo button or a '-' button or even a rigorous shake of the phone with visual confirmation. 2. A short vibrate and a short beep when tapping during the race. 3. Greater visual feedback on a tap. For runners 8+ there is very little feedback. You could show the raw place number at the top? 4. Ability to configure the team colors during setup so the buttons are color coded. Team logos would be cool but probably overkill! ;-) 5. iPad version where the buttons to tap are large-ish squares, but you can get more on the screen. Agree that a phone is easier to carry during a meet. iPad mini? A great app. I can definitely recommend. ### 5/5 — Very Helpful App *2013-08-23* This app is tremendously helpful--not only as a scoring device, but also as a teaching tool. It was great to be able to keep track of my runners' splits with total ease, and talk through pacing with them later. The latest update, which enables voice recording, is a life-saver! It's next to impossible to call out split times for the runners and simultaneously type in the correct name in the app (much less remember the exact order) especially if the runners are in a pack. This update handily solves that problem. I'd highly recommend this app--5 stars all the way! ### 5/5 — Nice App *2013-08-13* Works well. Would be nice if team names and athlete names were stored so did not have to retype for each meet. Other than that, it seems to work well.
