I have an iPhone 11. When I tried to play this game, parts of the app were cropped out or squished together. The it doesn’t make the game unplayable, and the actual board game is fun, but the weird cropping is a bit annoying and confusing at some times. It works fine on iPads though.

Man braucht eine Schulung für dieses Spiel. Videos in Appstore täuschen das X-Com Runden-Spiel vor.   Schade...

Nur der Akkuverbrauch ist auch sehr hoch.. Auch wäre es schon gewesen ein kurzes Videotutorial zu haben anstatt sich umständlich einlesen zu müssen ohne zurückspringen zu können. Für das erste Spiel haben wir deshalb fast 4h gebraucht :/

The game could be fun, but the apps resolution cuts important parts of the content on an iPhone. I hope this will be fixed.

Das Brettspiel in Kombination mit der App ist sehr unterhaltsam. Die Verbindung der beiden Komponenten ist richtig gut gelungen.

Das Spiel bedarf anfangs einer längeren Einarbeitungszeit. Sind die Regeln und Ereignisse aber einmal verstanden, geht es zügig und spannend Runde um Runde im Kampf gegen die Aliens.

Unverständlich ist der Rotation Lock der App. Das iPad sollte wegen des hohen Stromverbrauchs am besten am Strom hängen. Die App dreht sich aber nicht mit, auch nicht in 180° Schritten. Der Anschluss muss also immer unten sein. Das macht das Laden schwieriger.

Excellente réalisation. Le jeu de plateau est excellente et l'ambiance bien rendu avec la tablette.

The game is pretty good and fun tp play. The app on the other hand leaves much to be desired. It is locked in one direction no matter what. Which means it underutilizes the screen and also means that a charge cord cannot be used while playing. 
Maybe on a huge screen iPhone or other big phone it might not be so bad but it is still screen locked. 
This needs fixing before enough people quit using it and you fold. 
I see no reason for this issue beyond laziness.

This is a really nice COMPANION app of an extremely challenging and innovative board game. It's a companion app but not a standalone game! Those who gave this a 1-star obviously had no idea what this app is for.

Man kann das Spiel ab iPhone X aufwärts nicht wirklich spielen weil die Auflösung 16:9 statt 18:9 ist und viel vom Bild abgeschnitten ist.

leider erfordert die aktuelle Version iOS6, so dass ich mein iPad1 nicht in Verbindung mit der Erweiterung verwenden kann. Ein Warnhinweis waere schoen gewesen. So habe ich 20€ fuer eine nicht verwendbare Spielerweiterung ausgegeben. Aergerlich!

It just a tutorial.... with about 255 MB.... the issue is that the same tutorial is in the real game :(...so why to bother downloading it again!!

One of the best cooperative board games ever, and the necessary app only makes it better.

There’s four roles; one person (Central Officer) uses the app to inform the other three what’s going on (Scientist, Squad Leader, Commander), and everyone uses that info to make decisions during the timed phase each round.

Then the resolution phase happens, and the dice are rolled to see what succeeded/failed and what assets are lost.

Highly recommended for fans of cooperative, strategy, quick-decision-making, and/or XCOM. 👽🛸💥

This is a great companion to the board game. It’s necessary to play the game it’s necessary to have the board game to go with the app. 
Super fun but very difficult game. The tutorial was a great way to ease into it and the rule book included in this app is a wonderful tool. The low star reviews are mostly from people that don’t understand it’s part of the board game and cannot be used alone. 
If you like the video game you’ll love this. Check it out!

It’s an app for Xcom The Board Game...those that rate low either don’t get Enemy Uknown or think this is a game...duh...read description. 
 A brilliant app to a fantastic board game...(completely underrated). It feels like xcom, spend to quick...you loose, rush in...you loose, it always about research, fight back with there own weapons, loose a fight now an then...but come back better next round. 
 Absolutely love this BG/App, just a shame we probably never gonna get any more expansions!! 
 Thanks FFG for a great addition to your library.

Стыдно за соотечественников: лепят по одной звезде просто потому, что не разобрались, что перед ними не игра, а приложение для настолки. Ещё и халявщики, ожидающие XCOM бесплатно.

Приложение отлично дополняет игру, которую стоит заиметь каждому фанату оригинала

This game is a big hit with our family & friends! It doesn't take too long to complete a game, but be forewarned, this is only a companion app! You must own XCOM: The Board Game! A lot of the low-star reviews are probably folks who weren't aware of that fact. The base game is $40-$50, and I also highly recommend the $20 expansion pack (the expansion will increase the difficulty of this already challenging game, FYI).
