Call me old fashioned, but you’ve done it again; now I have to stop using it again 🤦‍♂️ ### 1/5 — New Update is Terrible for the iPad. Poor for the iPhone *2026-08-24, version 8.0.1* Not sure what the point of the update was, unless XE doesn’t want anyone to be using their app on the ipad anymore. No longer full screen. Buttons (like the 2I!!!) home buttons at the top that don’t do anything. Either of them. The new convert screen which rounds everything down, but it’s ok, because it super tiny non full screen font they have the more specific values. iPhone is also just as small on the convert screen. But again, all this is ok, because send money is front and center and that’s really what matters. Not how much it will be or what it will cost - but that it’s easy to just send it across - whatever it is. ### 1/5 — Such a confusing App *2026-08-23, version 8.0.1* This App used to be so easy to use and convert currency. Now it limits to a single currency only which requires the user to manually change to another currency one at a time. Terrible user experience! Was the very best 8 years ago. But, naturally, people come and people go; buyouts and mergers happen. As does new IT and design “talent”…. App designers these days no longer simply ask users what they like and don’t like; what they need and don’t. Nope…. Now they justify their jobs by simply making changes! For the hell of it! And this justifies their positions, and apparently it works. Adding features which are useless to most, while taking away basic features they don’t even realize is important to the core. We used to be able to customize exactly what we wanted to see and don’t, based on personal needs and preferences. Not now; not anymore. The app looks and feels just like every other cheap currency app. We see less on the screen at one glance, cannot customize our screens, cannot even set the default screen anymore! And that wonderful widget? Gone! Why? It was so useful! Kids these days don’t understand NOR CARE why some prefer these features! They weren’t there when XE first became huge or understand why people chose them over the others. They won’t even read these reviews anymore; they don’t care - they are just getting easy temporary jobs, making stupid changes to justify their temporary jobs - before moving into the next temporary job! This app feels identical to the other apps now: more dead space on the screens than information; less options; less customizable, less features; harder to use and figure out with each new “improvement” and update. Making changes just to say they “improved” the app. And no care to even ask anymore: what changes do you want; what is important to keep? Nope - we just make stupid worthless changes - and you will take it! We don’t care! We are all the same now. Guess it’s time now to just accept it, and move on. True innovation, pride and the need to stand out is dead. Simply making changes to say something was done, and calling it improvement, while just being the same as all others; while taking useful things away. Nothing special nor worth more than any others. I just deleted it. The old app worked perfectly well and, more importantly for me, it had proper iPad landscape mode. Why oh why does the new app only have portrait mode, forcing me to rotate the iPad to get it large enough to see (I don’t have good eyesight). Even then, there’s way too much ‘stuff’ on the Home Screen. Stop trying to fit everything on the Home Screen, and actually consider those users who prefer to use the app on an iPad. I believe this app is a ‘made for iPad’ version rather than a ported iPhone version, so why not leave it to the user to decide how they want to use it?
