As my dear Developer mentioned in app's privacy descriptions,
that "Dtata Not Collected" = Wrong. 
if data does not collect, then why are you granting permission when add it into safari extension... 
Original Permit Note: "This extension can read and alter web pages, visit and see your browsing history on all websites.
This includes sensitive information from web pages, including passwords, phone numbers and credit cards."

Allow for all website = ?

if we select "ask or deny" option, xEngine do not work, fully stopped.

And you did not gave a single chance for "money deduction" after the app installation after first time try it and check it. 
Please refund money if can or make me understand if any miss sense from my side.

Used to work every time, now it loads ddg for most of my searches as that’s the Safari default. Was good while it lasted.

I downloaded, opened the app, followed the prompts, allowed the extension, selected Brave as my search engine and NOTHING HAPPENED lol even restarted my phone and still nothing

**Developer response:** You need to grand history permission, and set “All Websites” to “Allow”.

it’s supposed to replace the default search engine, so it should only need the permission for reading Google.com (and maybe the others) and not all the website.

Please fix that and it will be 5 stars.

Otherwise, since It’s not open source, how are we supposed to trust this extension?

After following the instructions, it works just as I hoped!  All my searches now go to StartPage.  My only disappointment is that it doesn’t seem to work in private tabs despite enabling it to work in private mode.  But perhaps I am missing something.  I can settle for DDG at least in that scenario!

I've tried a few other extensions for using a custom search engine in Safari and I find this one works the best. It seems to load the custom engine directly rather than having the default engine load then redirecting.

Je cherchais depuis longtemps comment faire pour mettre par défaut Brave Search sur Safari sans trouver solution car il n'existe pas de plugin comme avec Qwant. Ce n'est plus un souci avec xEngine ! 

Pour que ça fonctionne, il faut que Safari soit paramétré comme navigateur par défaut et avec Google en moteur de recherche. Il faut bien penser à activer l'extension xEngine également et le tour est joué. Un grand merci au dev !

Safaris default search engines is not good enough. This app allows you to use any default search engine of your choosing and it works seamlessly!

I would also recommend considering this developers other app xSearch for Safari, which has the same feature as this app and way more!
