## What is Xera?

Xera is a free strength training app built around better programs, meaningful goals, and effortless workout tracking.

Put your personalized training routine on autopilot: build a Workout Program from your own saved workouts, set your schedule, and let Xera guide you through what’s next. Automatic strength progression advances your training weight as you reach your rep targets, while goals keep the lifts that matter most in focus and track your progress across every workout.

Log weights, reps, sets, and rest quickly from your phone, Apple Watch, or Garmin watch. Powerful watch-based workout tracking is often locked behind a subscription—Xera makes it available for free, so you can stay focused on training instead of your screen.

Find exercises fast with search by name, equipment, and muscle group.

## Key features

- Strength training tracking
- Workout template library
- Custom routine builder

### 5/5 — Insanely good app

*2026-09-17*

Finally an app that is amazing for tracking my workouts.
Now I can achieve my fitness goals across the board with ease. Thanks to the Xera team! Great app.
It also allows me to easily build out programs, and this is the only app on the market that has a virtual ai coach!

### 5/5 — Easily the best

*2026-08-23*

I’ve used many apps to help track workouts and this is easily the best. I’m a college athlete so needing structured programs are great for me. I can put in the exercises I need and then track them on my Garmin so my phone stays out of my hands. 10/10 would recommend!

### 5/5 — Simplifies workout tracking + phone-free workouts!

*2026-08-22*

Super helpful for tracking workouts, + great watch integrations to keep workouts phone-free!

### 5/5 — Surprisingly good app

*2026-08-20*

I’ve tried a bunch of strength training apps, and Xera is easily one of the best I’ve used. It nails the thing that matters most in the gym: staying out of your way.

Logging sets is incredibly fast, rest timers are right where you need them, and it’s easy to see what you did last time and keep progressing. The interface is clean and intuitive without sacrificing the features you actually want from a serious lifting tracker.

### 5/5 — Helping me get back on track!

*2026-08-13*

I just got back to working out and love how easy it is to track workouts and see progress. I’m trying to discover workouts so the videos and instructions have been helpful. It’s getting me back on track with my fitness.

### 5/5 — Actually Good Fitness App

*2026-08-12*

I’ve tried more workout apps than I can count and always end up back to just using a spreadsheet to track everything at the gym. This one actually stuck. The way it’s set up just makes sense — I’m not spending half my workout figuring out what to do next, I’m just doing it. Tracks everything I need without making it complicated. Exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Only Fitness App that Works for Me

*2026-08-05*

Honestly I have never had much luck staying consistent with workouts. It’s hard to keep myself accountable and although I’ve tried other apps I usually try it once and give up. This one is honestly so good, it’s like the duo lingo of fitness apps, streaks keep you coming back week after week, it’s extremely easy to use and there’s even videos for each exercise to show proper form. There’s workouts with and without weights, you can literally start with just pushups and sit-ups and then add new workouts as you get into it. If you’re just trying to be healthier, or more serious workouts to build muscle this app is literally perfect and makes it’s so easy

### 5/5 — Great for those with Busy schedules

*2026-08-04*

Simple and easy to use app, helped me transition back into strength and conditioning training after several years away.
Keeps me focused, locked in, and efficient. Ideal for those on the go who have limited time to workout.

### 5/5 — Great workout app!

*2026-08-02*

Honestly, I was surprised this is free, there’s a lot more here than most workout apps I’ve tried. It took me just 2 minutes to figure it out and the layout is really clean. Kinda weird that there isn’t even a paid version yet!

### 5/5 — Great app for workout tracking

*2026-07-31*

Been using this for over a month now and it’s been great to be able to track my workouts with rep numbers and weight and compare to previous weeks to ensure I’m progressing. UI is great and everything is very snappy

So far I haven’t not been able
To find another app to track my workouts like this
