It brings the ultimate user experience of volume adjustable exhaust to the performance car enthusiasts. Through this technology, our users will be able to have full control of how their Varex exhaust systems sound and perform. This XForce Varex App is the user interface for the Varex Smart Box Control Module. ***This App will work exclusively with the VAREX Smart Box control module.*** This app features: XFORCE accounts: You can now sign up for an optional XFORCE account that will extend the power of your VAREX SMARTBOX. Accounts are 100% free but are not required to continue enjoying your VAREX SMARTBOX. Note: The VAREX SMARTBOX continues to be fully operational without an XFORCE account but we highly encourage you to check them out! ● Manual Mode: Manually adjust the valve position of the muffler to certain position/degree. Also features four preset positions which is Closed, 25%, 50%, 75%, Open. ● Matrix Mode: Set vehicle parameters range to trigger the Valve operation. Such vehicle parameter includes Engine RPM, Throttle Position and Vehicle Speed. Slider interface are utilized for the selection of those parameters range/band. Valve preset positions inside or outside the range/band can also be manually selected. ● Geo Mode: Create a geographic circle around an address of interest to trigger the valve to a certain position upon entering the circle. The valve can also be triggered to a certain position upon leaving the geographic circle and even trigger a change to Matrix Mode. VAREX muffler technology: The XForce VAREX muffler utilizes our patented technology to combine both the design of the stock muffler and the performance muffler into one single compact unit. A sophisticated butterfly valve mechanism is implemented to redirect the exhaust gas flow and vary between the two. For higher sound level, the exhaust flows are directed through the opening path and produces maximum power with a robust sound level (or the “sports car note”) and near-zero resistance. Whilst for lower sound level, the exhaust flows are directed through the chambered path (similar design with the stock muffler), and produces minimum sound level that gives you the best in-car comfort. Angle of the valve is also controllable, which can be adjusted to stop at various points between sports mode and silence mode. This gives you further freedom to set the optimal sound level according to your desired preference. The latest VAREX Smart Box Control Module serves as a bridge between the users and the Varex mufflers. Considering that using your phone while driving is ILLEGAL in many states and territories, it seems essential for the app to support CarPlay for operation. While the Fob can control the Varex system, having invested in the premium “Smart Box”, it feels like a step backward to rely on the “dumb” option. XForce, please address this issue to make the Smart Box truly live up to its name ### 3/5 — Needs CarPlay *2024-02-06, version 2.3.7* The app works well. However, having ti touch the phone is a major drawback. Please implement CarPlay as well as intents. With CarPlay using the app in the car will be straightforward and with intents, users can use the shortcuts app to control the system with Siri. Two small updates and the system usability will be great. ### 5/5 — Varex Smartbox is even better with Haltech CAN integration *2023-11-19, version 2.3.4* I purchased the smartbox to haltech can adapter cable and updated to the latest firmware and now my smartbox is plug and play into my Haltech elite 1500. Smartbox works so good with my Haltech real-time. Highly recommend anyone with a haltech ecu with a Varex exhaust or Varex exhaust cutout to control their exhaust ### 5/5 — Excellent valve control *2023-11-17, version 2.3.4* I’ve used the app to set up my Varex exhaust and it’s worked perfectly. Presetting my preferences was straightforward. The Geo mode is amazing too, I keep my loud exhaust away from the neighbours ### 3/5 — Good but… *2021-07-24, version 2.1.4* This really needs to be compatible with Apple CarPlay. Even if just the basic controls to open and close the valve were available, it would still be super handy. ### 5/5 — Great Product *2021-01-10, version 2.1.4* I have used this app for nearly 3 years with no issues. The Geo settings work well and I find that it stores my settings well. So when I go somewhere outside the range I set, XForce returns to what is set in the Geo mode. That is outside my zero set range it starts at what was previously set. Also it helps when your close to home. No need to upset the neighbours! It will automatically revert to whatever I have set, eg. 0%. ### 3/5 — . *2020-09-06, version 2.1.4* How cool would it be if the app could work on Apple CarPlay. ### 4/5 — Just needs Siri Integration *2020-08-27, version 2.1.4* Great app that provides an easy alternative to either using the OBD input or the keys to change the valves. Although Bluetooth is very handy and the smart box connects quickly, it is a concern using your phone while driving. If the devs could add Siri integration to some of the standard features of the app, it would negate any reason to access the app while driving. This could also easily fit into Shortcuts to enable seamless control with some basic scripting.
