## What is Xgrid?

Photographing a screen usually fails. The camera's sensor and the display's pixel grid interfere with each other, laying rippling bands of false colour across the picture. Moving closer, tilting, or zooming shifts the pattern around but rarely removes it.

Xgrid removes it.

Press the shutter and Xgrid captures a hundred frames in under a second, lines them up, and averages them. The interference pattern shifts between frames while the picture itself stays put — so averaging cancels the pattern and keeps the detail.


HOW IT WORKS

• Captures at the highest resolution and frame rate your camera will stream, then resamples each frame so the display's pixel grid is filtered out before it can turn into an artefact

• Aligns every frame for both drift and rotation, correcting the natural twist of a hand-held shot that simpler stacking ignores

• Averages a hundred frames into 16-bit monochrome, with far more tonal precision in the shadows than any single exposure

• Works hand-held. It genuinely prefers a relaxed grip to a tripod — the slight movement between frames is what lets the pattern cancel


CONTROLS

• Detail Restore — bring back fine structure after averaging
• Density — adjust the tonal curve to open up dark or high-contrast areas
• Colour — optional, off by default; monochrome discards the colour fringing
  that carries most of the interference
• Swipe to compare the processed result against a single untreated frame, and pinch to zoom into either
• Save or share whichever one you prefer - or both

Everything happens on your device. Xgrid contains no networking code of any kind — nothing is uploaded, nothing is collected, nothing is tracked.
