Tried to open the gate the icon disappeared, tried to log out and log back in, now it doesn’t even log me in. It just Keeps buffering .. also app ihas a delay as well.

It was working fine for about a month, now the app keeps showing a buffering screen and we’re unable to open the gate on all devices. I tried turning the motor on and off, I also tried restarting my internet modem; nothing worked. Then I uninstalled the app and downloaded again, and now it won’t even let me log in, keeps buffering… it has to be an app issue or bug. Very disappointing and inconvenient for the price of the gate motor.

The basic function works fine that allows me to open and close the gate remotely. However, the bigger issue is that the gate sometimes will be triggered at night by itself and the schedule function doesn’t work well. It always has 1 or 2 hr difference

Just installed on my gate opener. Worked perfectly for about two mins. Now I cannot operate the gate. Wi-Fi is connected but nothing happens when pressing the open/close button. Gonna remove and send back. This is very disappointing

Would be nice if when clicking the gate icon to either open or close it showed the progress rather than just seeing a static image.

This app can be made to work but it’s not easy and there are many simple things that could be better:

1/ I was unable to setup my device unless I permitted all the permissions it asked for on startup, and it asks for a lot: location, notifications, detect devices on the network and Bluetooth. Say no to any of these and you will not be able to get to step 4.

2/ If you leave the app for a short period, say to get the access code, join the devices WiFi or respond to a text message, when you come back the app will be back at the beginning at whatever you were trying to do is lost. 

3/ The instructions are mildly incorrect and in places inaccurate. For instance it says to hold the button for 5 or 10 seconds, depending on the mode when in fact it’s 7.5 and 15 seconds. This problem is made worse by confusing language: if you do the short press the light flashes rapidly and continuously; the long press it flashes twice and then pauses before repeating. This second mode is what you want and is described as “..after the indicator light fast and slow flashing”. In the first shorter press the access point does not appear; and in the second case, if you did not say yes to all four permissions, then you can join the access point but the app just sits there and does nothing. That’s of course presuming you came back in time and you’re not back in the home page or login screen. 

4/ The signup process is painful. If you select a login field the only way to see the rest of the page (and the link to register a new account) is to press somewhere else on the page. When you do signup, it makes you validate your email address before you can register a password. And of course that email takes a short while to arrive and when you come back your progress is lost. It’s then confusing if you need to request a second code or if you can use the first (you can use the first). Finally none of the fields work with a password manager like 1Password. So if you switch out to generate a decent password you’ll likely find yourself back at square one once more. 

This whole app is so poor I boxed up my unit and returned it. I’ll find another way to open my gate.
