They are not lying when comparing it to Myst, as most other games tend to do. This is a thoroughly well-done exploring/ puzzle game. Also, I really appreciated the hints and tips, especially for if you get stuck and cannot move, to tap the title on the home screen 10 times and you will be sent to the entrance so you can continue playing. I was a little bummed to find out some of the puzzles were not necessary to complete the game, but still enjoyed them and they did provide some interesting insight into the game. ### 5/5 — WE NEED PART 4!!!! *2016-05-13* Great game/experience. Also, the movement system is spot on. A few minor niggles, like there's no screen orientation control, so you can only use the screen one way up. This prevents you from using your iPad smartcover to prop up the back of the screen while playing, since the game is presented upside-down from the way you would normally play while using a smartcover. Could do with some sound fx on the monorail, and a more satisfying ending to each installment. Anyway, minor niggles. Best episode yet. I am exited for the 4th one. The game was interesting, with three unique areas. A hydro plant, a strange museum like structure, and a orchard for raising strange trees. What I liked best was the Easter eggs. I am not telling you what they are, but the first one relates to the podiums scattered around the accessible areas. This game must've taken work. You can't just download art assets when your games art style is this unique. It is like brutal Concrete geometric architecture meet whimsical, ceramic cookware inspired organic architecture. This is now in my top five list of favorite games. Awesome job! ### 5/5 — The Best by Far *2015-09-05* Episode 3 is the best! Lots of area and nooks and crannies to explore using the awesome thumbstick navigation. I'm already dreading going back to other more mundane games. For me, this is the perfect puzzle adventure game. Actually STUCK! Can’t move forward, can’t move backward. Picked up one of the orange balls by the glowing flower and now all I can do is rotate around and around. Truly enjoyed the challenges of 1 and 2 and was enjoying 3 until now. Not the only glitch, however. Got trapped in part of the hexagon space, by being able to run quickly over the platform down to the lower level - no way back! Had to restart. Then close to the end, got trapped underground as exited game and when continued couldn’t get back up as elevator wasn’t available- frustrating! Other than that, good game. ### 3/5 — Good puzzles *2019-01-28, version 1.0.3* I enjoy the innovative puzzles of these games, but if you get stuck there’s no hints. Glitches pop up, Ike being unable to walk through a door, and I had to turn my screen brightness all the way up to find a path through caves( spent some time thinking there was no way through). It seems like there were some I completed tasks at the end. I wish all chapters were offered as a single game at a reasonable price. ### 3/5 — Great graphics but too short *2017-11-12, version 1.0.3* Much shorter than part 2 with easier puzzles. Graphics are still good. If you liked Myst...you’ll like XON. ### 4/5 — Still good *2025-11-20* A fine episode. Logic again makes sense once you crack it. I completed within 2 hours, much faster than ep 2. Still worth it for the price. ### 5/5 — XON just got better! 👍🏼 *2023-04-20* Episode 1 was easy, episode 2 was much better and episode 3 is unbelievably huge! 🤗 I can see how Myst and Riven inspired the evolution of the XON series with such an emphasis on the exploration. I managed to find everything from my first play-through and now I’m hooked! The optional extras was such a thrill for me! You don’t actually need to unlock them both, but when you do, the feeling is magical. 🪄✨ I love how you can ride the monorail back to the beginning if you are learning your way around this vast landscape. Solving one area affects the other areas of the game, so be sure to read the notes scattered throughout this game for a better understanding. The puzzles really took extra effort to solve. Don’t try to memorize it, but rather; learn the logic behind them. I honestly didn’t want the adventure to end. IMPORTANT FEATURES: ✅ - Gorgeous graphics. ✅ - Extra challenges. ✅ - No time limit. ✅ - No in-app purchases. XON Episode 3 is a clear winner for me! This game has so much thoughtful details. From the wind turbines pumping water through the pipes to the tree roots being powered by crystals underneath that you activate with light shining through mirrors; I get this! I absolutely love this game so much! 🥰 Recommended: Yes, of course! 👍🏼 Absolutely remarkable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ### 5/5 — Absolute Masterpiece Part Three *2022-06-01* 😛This one is GREAT!!😛 Probably my favorite of all… All 4 chapters of XON are spectacular in their own way, and these guys are absolute masters at creating beautiful mega-puzzles that are laid out across vast landscapes. It’s such a rush to solve these incredible puzzles. ### 5/5 — Fantastic!!! *2020-10-07* This series along with “the room” series and “the eyes of ara” are my absolute favorites. The graphics were fantastic along with the controls. The puzzles were great, enough of a challenge but not so daunting that I would’ve wanted to quit. It is a great length. You definitely get your money’s worth.
