### 2/5 — Cannot connect to Apple watch

*2026-01-02, version 2.0.9*

The watch app keeps saying sign in to the app on my phone when I’m already signed in.

### 2/5 — No more CycleBar

*2025-10-04, version 2.0.6*

I got this app for CycleBar and they just got rid of the brand without telling anyone. I’m so mad.

### 3/5 — Good, interface needs work

*2025-02-22*

The content itself is great, navigating the app is terrible. It should be simple and clean but it is chaotic. Wish they would just list classes and then within those classes they should be ordered by upload date and then playlists with the various instructors, style of class, etc

### 1/5 — Impossible to cancel

*2024-12-29, version 1.9.5*

I can not log into this account or change my password. Each time I get an error message. There is no one to contact and they keep charging me.

### 1/5 — Wow, so bad!

*2024-11-10, version 1.9.5*

On iPad opens in a tiny window, smaller than a phone.
Does not cast to tv, or even found on tv App Store.
Not going to use this on phone…

### 1/5 — Slow and Buggy

*2024-09-23, version 1.9.4*

This app is super slow and has crashed on me multiple times.

### 1/5 — Read the fine print

*2024-09-03*

I’d signed up for the 1 year subscription but stopped using the app because I found a different service that better suited my fitness needs. I forgot to cancel the subscription and when I noticed I’d been charged for a new year I reached out to see if I could have my money refunded. Turns out they have a NO REFUND policy, so I wasn’t able to get my money back. I’ve experienced this a time or two in the past with other apps who had no issue refunding me; especially when they saw that I hadn’t been using the app or service. Things like that really go a long way with users; and I’ve even rejoined some of them later on. Xponential is only about taking your money. I recommend finding a different fitness app to use.

### 3/5 — Classes are great, App could be better

*2024-07-07*

App is great with content. Could have better navigation. Definitely needs improvement on tracking. I have done 3 video classes as part of the pure barre programs and it hasn’t registered any of them as completed (still showing 0 of 5 classes completed). Apple Watch data is also not syncing.

### 2/5 — Great workouts, crappy app

*2024-06-29*

I’ve been a Peleton member for two years and decided to subscribe to X+ for Barre and yoga. Unfortunately, the app needs work! Not only is it difficult to use - no filter / searches for time/ instructor / class but the screen is super small - even on an iPad - and you can not see the instructor’s feet. The instructor wears black against a black background!!! Please develop an app for iPad with a larger view screen and change the background or the instructor footwear to help is see what he or she is doing.

### 3/5 — Please bring back original pure barre classes!

*2024-06-24*

I’ve been using the Xponential app 3-4 days a week since COVID, as I switched my barre classes from in person to home. I really enjoy that however there are very few 30 minute classic class offerings now.
The classic class is what made pure barre popular in the first place. I do not need empower classes to raise my heart rate as it’s already elevated in a classic class- nor do we need countless targeted classes. The beauty of pure barre is the full body workout.
PLEASE bring back more of the 30 minute classic classes!!

### 4/5 — GREAT APP…but

*2024-05-17*

This app is great and the coaches are super encouraging! I’ve loved using it and being able to change up my workout routine

My one complaint is that it doesn’t show when I’ve completed a class, I’m currently on week 4 of 6 for the BFT KETTLEBELL and it doesn’t show that I’ve completed any classes even though I watch the videos all the way through

Might be a bug that needs to be fixed.

### 1/5 — No live classes! Not worth it

*2024-03-28, version 1.7.6*

They’re all replays “encore” and they post new barre workouts every 2 or more weeks. If you workout more than twice per month you will be bored. I wish pure barre never merged with them as a platform for their workouts!!!!!!!!

### 2/5 — Content great, function of the app terrible

*2024-02-19, version 1.7.6*

I love the variety of this app but the function is terrible. You cannot pause the video….if you do it starts over and throws you out of your workout. Very frustrating and time consuming.

### 1/5 — Awful!

*2024-01-18, version 1.7.6*

Don’t bother it’s hard to use

### 2/5 — Glitch

*2024-01-13, version 1.7.6*

Can’t sign up for a plan

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2023-12-14, version 1.7.2*

The website is great. However I can’t get any videos to play on my iPhone or iPad app. I also wish they had a specific version of the app for the iPad.

### 4/5 — Excellent app, especially appletv

*2023-12-12*

I’ve been using both the appletv and iPhone app for a few weeks now, and I’m pretty pleased with it. I have had zero issues with the appletv app and only a couple minor ones on the iPhone app, specifically trouble exiting some class screens when in the collections.

I was a little hesitant to purchase the app based on some of the reviews, but I’m really glad I did! It’s pretty incredible content and it looks like they’re periodically improving the software usability based on the feedback.

### 3/5 — Where has Pure Barre gone??

*2023-12-11, version 1.7.2*

I’m mostly on the app for pure barre. The workouts are great, but they’re rarely putting out new content. November had 5 new workouts and October only had 2! What’s going on??

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bad

*2026-06-18, version 2.0.9*

App navigation is terrible. Collection of workouts is confusing and search results is industry worst.

### 1/5 — Predatory

*2026-02-08, version 2.0.9*

The methods their app and website use for free trials are predatory and fraudulent.

### 1/5 — No notification of upcoming renewal

*2026-01-29, version 2.0.9*

I hope everyone remembers when they signed up as you will not receive any notifications to let you know.

### 1/5 — Reformer Pilates needed

*2026-01-20, version 2.0.9*

I am very disappointed because I thought that this app would provide reformer Pilates classes and it does not so I’m disappointed. I’m not interested in math Pilates.

### 1/5 — So disappointed. Cannot mirror to TV

*2026-01-15, version 2.0.9*

Surprised CVS partners with this app. Every other fitness app allows screen mirroring. Who can watch a 2x3” workout video on their phone? Many people have complained about this and the company ignores.

Plus their customer service is useless.

### 1/5 — Do not purchase

*2025-10-24, version 2.0.9*

Getting ready to block company from taking my money after I had canceled. Then tried to get back into app to make sure subscription canceled, but it keeps saying I have an invalid username and password. Getting annoyed.

### 1/5 — Nopotential

*2025-09-01, version 1.9.8*

This app is super buggy and half the stuff that’s on their website doesn’t show up on the Apple TV app. I really hope my in person Yoga6 classes are better than this app, because it’s not the greatest user experience. They need to take a page or some programmer from Peloton. To make this worthwhile.

### 1/5 — Poor ux

*2025-08-21, version 1.9.8*

I’m finding it almost impossible to get the app to recognize the subscription, which I purchased in my club Pilates app

### 1/5 — Beware if you need customer service for any problem

*2025-02-09*

I previously had a month to month membership. I decided to sign up for a year membership this time through Apple subscriptions. All of a sudden my login didn’t work anymore and contacting customer support has been frustrating to say the least. It claims they have “live chat” but I never heard from anyone for a day to three days later, if at all, every time I tried to contact them. They claim that they don’t see an active subscription for me. I have showed proof from Apple and still I haven’t been able to access my subscription. Who has my money???Looks like I will have to dispute with my credit card company since they have been beyond unhelpful. I have used this service for 5 years since the pandemic. Unfortunately now they have lost a customer.

### 1/5 — Warning- do not sign up for a free trial!

*2025-01-23*

I signed up for a free 14 day trial where I had to put in my credit card information. After taking a class I tried logging back in but it said no subscription was found. 2 weeks later I was charged and when I finally got through to customer service they said they weren’t able to help me and to reach out to apple apps because that’s how I signed up. Apple customer service looked into it and said I don’t have an active subscription through them and that I was also not charged through Apple apps. They recommended I dispute the charges and report the app. What a headache! I’ve tried reaching out to customer multiple times since then but haven’t been able to reach anyone. They have an automated bot system that’s says they will connect you with someone but nobody has contacted me. Beware!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Pure barre

*2026-02-07, version 2.0.9*

Wish they had an app for tv! But learned how to airplay to tv and now I am happy and pure barre obsessed again.

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2024-04-05*

I love this app! I’m so grateful for the variety of classes. I love barre and pilates, but I love jumping into a boxing, cycling, yoga, or dance class! I appreciate how the app lets you search by time limit to choose a class. It makes squeezing a 15-20 min workout into my day so easy! They also have programs in the app too. Right now I’m doing a 6-week kettlebell training program which is awesome! I love hitting the gym and using this app- feels like I have a personal trainer. Big thanks Xpotential!

### 5/5 — Great variety. Easy to use.

*2022-12-05*

I absolutely love the brands that are part of this app. I’m familiar with each brand having their own app but having access to all of them is way better. Variety is great and the app is super easy to use. There is so much to try between all the brands and different class types. The live classes are awesome too!

### 5/5 — I like it, but….

*2022-10-10, version 1.2.6*

5 stars because I use the app a lot. But I wish it was customizable to me. I wish I could queue up my workouts and I wish it recorded a history of the classes I have done.

### 5/5 — J Schuster

*2022-09-18*

Terrible! Huge downgrade from Pure Barre app. This app isn’t included on Roku or Xfinity so I have mirror the video from on my iPad or phone and that doesn’t work well because you can’t remove an arrow on the screen. Also, you can’t save favorites and even though I filter for Pure Barre, other workouts appear.

### 5/5 — Beautiful app & easy to navigate!

*2022-09-13*

Love that I can easily get my favorite pure barre and yogasix classes from home, any time I want them! The app is easy to use, has live classes, great variety and love the content. Plus love that I can jump between the brands. Stretch lab is great to have after workouts for recovery! Def a must have

### 5/5 — LOVE!

*2022-06-06, version 1.0.13*

Although a new app, I am loving everything it has to offer and can’t wait to continue taking more of my fave studio classes at home. I love the Rumble classes most since there isn’t a Rumble studio near by me.

### 5/5 — LOVE this app, easy to use!

*2022-05-11, version 1.0.11*

I love the variety of workouts the app offers to mix my routine up each day! Great for at home and in a gym setting as well. I also appreciate the live feature so I can schedule my workouts and join with family and friends. Download and try it out, you won’t regret it!

### 5/5 — A one stop shop for all things fitness!!

*2022-05-11, version 1.0.11*

Super excited about this new app! Xponential+ allows me to workout with the brands I already love in studio with the flexibility of taking them wherever I am or whatever my busy schedule looks like for the day!

I also love their wide array of brands so I can mix things up week to week and their ability to book an in studio class all in one app.

It’s a one stop shop for fitness👏

### 5/5 — LOVE THE VARIETY!

*2022-05-09, version 1.0.11*

As someone who has constantly changing interests, this app has everything I need. I have access to so many different types of workouts that satisfy my short attention span. They have curated workouts and the brands I already love and use!!
