Got it working once and that was it. The desktop app is also slow and buggy. Every time you click a button, theres a 3 second processing delay. Oh and while other VCam software allows you to be connected to a VPN on your PC and Phone they will still pair just fine. XSplit does not let you pair your phone to your PC if EITHER one is connected to a VPN service. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR STREAMING because of that oversight. **Developer response:** Hi! In the rare instance that it does not, the webcam via this app and my phone does not show up on YouTube as the phone camera but rather the webcam on my laptop even tho I have it set to use the phone/app. I see great promise but unfortunately not reliable for YouTube. **Developer response:** Hi! Works very well. I have a feature request: could you add in audio support? In other words, having the ability to use the built-in internal mics on newer iPhones overriding the internal mics on Mac? ### 5/5 — Neat! *2020-11-18, version 1.02* I do a lot of virtual teaching so this gives me the chance to get up and move around if I want to show something rather than being completely tethered to my webcam or having to move the whole laptop around. Decent as a secondary webcam. ### 4/5 — Xsplit WEBCAM *2020-11-15, version 1.01* This app allows you to connect with xsplit desktop platform as another source for camera could be good for some beginners but most serious gamers have this all covered ### 3/5 — Downsides *2021-03-04* Not sure why you’re not able to use USB , unable to change resolution in the app. App is very limited compared to some similar apps as well as the price being substantially higher. The positive is the auto green screen, only planned on using it till i got a real green screen. It’s a decent app but. Not worth the price you’d pay to own it, Might as well get a real webcam with full features. I used Streamlabs OBS with it and it kept changing to 640X480 and was not able to change the resolution at times.
