However, I travel a lot for business and need to be able to edit images for the apparel printer on the go. Having to pull my laptop out every time is a huge inconvenience. If this were just a hobby it wouldn’t be a big deal. But this is one of our main businesses and I’m not only the owner, but the only designer as well. I really need an easier way to edit these images directly in the xtool app on my iPad without having to pull my laptop out in the middle of a crowded area. Please please please add a way to edit apparel printer or Omni printer projects on iPads and tablets. ### 4/5 — XCS Software on iPad *2025-01-20, version 2.1.1* It took a little time working with the software and setting up my machine but overall, not very difficult at all and very fun to see creations become reality. I would like to see the features that are on the desktop and laptop versions of XCS come to the mobile platforms. Not being able to test and calibrate the laser path with the iPad was a little disappointing. Hopefully, that will come in a future update. ### 2/5 — Heaps of potential, but not quite there *2025-01-02* This app could be super convenient, especially as I do most of my art work on my ipad, however it has way too many issues, buts and lags for it to be a pleasant experience at the moment. Some issues involve: unresponsive with the apple pencil at times, certain elements freezing (the screen/drawing) and lagging a lot. My first item turned out brilliantly, a black business card with our companies art deco emblem and our company name. Can’t wait to experiment with other items! ### 2/5 — Good attempt but not there yet *2024-07-23, version 2.0.4* Don’t bother with the android version, its nowhere near the PC one. Now on the IPad you will get the closest to the PC version as you can get but there are limitations. First don’t expect to use a connected physical keyboard to do anything more than type. For example moving objects using arrow keys, undo etc. They will not work. So you have to rely on your steady fingers when moving stuff. Also the tracing algorithm is not very intuitive compare to something like Lightburn. Even the simplest three color images it has a problem with. Maybe in the following updates this will get better but i find myself having to edit certain things in lightburn then bringing it over to Creative space. Hope this changes soon. Also, cloudshare also is garbage. I need to use the iPad to run the machine so I can continue working on projects on my computer. They have put out like the f2 ultra ### 1/5 — So dangerous it should not be on the App Store *2025-07-08, version 2.1.1* This app is dangerous. It’s hard to even describe the behavior it’s so irresponsibly poorly coded. Files have no meaning in this app. Open a file created from the desktop app in a shared location. Make changes and save. Open the file from ‘recents’ in the app and your changes are there. Open the original file (on app or desktop) and ALL CHANGES ARE LOST. Without warning all your work is lost. Now you have two files with different info. Repeating variations of this process will continue to produce more duplicate files. Apple should remove this app for the benefit of users. Zero integrity. ### 1/5 — Can’t connect *2024-11-25, version 2.1.1* No way to connect to my unit. It only yells me to connect but can’t find any way to do it. Only “mobile” version gives me the option and that version obviously isn’t robust. ### 1/5 — Version 2 interface is garbage *2024-07-27, version 2.0.4* The new interface is horrible on the iPad. It doesn’t register touch, sometimes I have to click a close button 5x until it registers. You can’t find anything. Things have become really convoluted and things have become complicated to create, edit, and output. I am very disappointed. The only thing I give it is that now you can save custom settings. ### 1/5 — How to ruin a good app! *2024-07-17, version 2.0.4* I was using this app instead of lightburn for it’s simple and intuitive design. Unfortunately, the last update completely trashed the app. What was once simple and straightforward is now ridiculously confusing and totally unintuitive. Thankfully, on one of my ipads I still have the old version so I will use that for as long as i can and just ignore the constant nags to update.
