Firmware update doesn’t work

Purchased the XTRAK 50 Pro to use with this app. The poor quality of the app and Bluetooth implementation is compounded by no support from Uniden. Problem 1: Uniden support simply don’t reply to support requests via the feedback link on the app. I would expect answers or acknowledgement within a week. Problem 2: Despite using Bluetooth 5.0, the radio can only use Bluetooth to connect the this App OR a Headset. Problem 3: The firmware update function doesn’t work Problem 4: The radio settings in the app are mismatched with the radio settings. Try disable VOX in the app for example. Problem 5: They advertise that it will work with car audio. So far not able to pair with a modern Ford audio or Honda bike.

I think this product was released before being properly tested.
It seems to be very limited in audio connection and the app is unable to update firmware.
it seems unlikely that Uniden will be able to fix issues without returning units since firmware cannot be updated via app.
I’ve tried 3 separate XTRAK 50 Pro units. Only one  managed to connect to Bluetooth audio headset.
Would be an awesome product if software bugs had been ironed out before release, but I wouldn’t recommend buying one.

When trying to update the firmware the Bluetooth link drops out and the app stays on the burning screen indefinitely. Reestablishing Bluetooth which requires you to go into the menu system and turn it on for the app makes no difference as the app still will not proceed with a firmware update. 
Also the same dropout problem happens when pairing with a Bluetooth Audi system. I expect better from uniden as currently the XTRAK 50 is not fit for purpose and will not perform advertised functions.

The radio drops its Bluetooth connection when it tries to upgrade the firmware. Happens to a friend with the same handset. Uniden seem to be unable to fix it.
