At first things could be found or maybe about the first year. I haven’t been able to find anything since but I keep trying. ### 4/5 — Good device *2020-03-08, version 5.0.1* I really like the functionality of being able to add more devices. Also, it is really neat that other XY users passing an item can give you the location. I just wish it had a longer range to find items or show a location because I cannot even reach my object when I am beneath the balcony it is on. And when you use the Near Me function, it does not allow enough space before constantly going off. I like to use it in crowded places for my autistic son, but I would like for it to have a range lengthened to about 20 feet so it is not constantly going off... so the problem is probably the strength of the Bluetooth. ### 1/5 — Don’t let the ad fool you *2020-02-13, version 5.0.1* In the ad I saw it showed them tracking a car. Guess what, it won’t. Keeping track of your keys in the house, probably not either, it will show it’s close. But you already knew that. Only after you hit the “find it” button the fob will start beeping. Going to try and return. Please don’t waste your money like I did. **Developer response:** Hello. XY absolutely never advertises XY Finders as GPS trackers. We do use affiliate advertisers, but it is strictly against our rules to advertise these devices inaccurately. If you encountered someone breaking these rules, please report them to us at support.xy.company and we will ensure it is investigated. XY Finders have a range of up to about 300 feet, after which XY Find It uses your phone's GPS to keep track of its last know location. Beeping to find the misplaced object is the designed behavior for XY Finders, however if you are experiencing technical difficulties please let us know and we'll be happy to assist you. ### 1/5 — Don’t waste ur money *2019-10-18, version 5.0.1* It’s don’t work not as accurate as tile, don’t connect always ### 1/5 — Mystery Music Solved *2019-09-27, version 5.0.1* So, this company screwed me on shipping but that’s another matter. The app would randomly play a mysterious piano styled music. I would force close every app and the music would still play on loop. The only way to stop the music is to delete the app from your phone. ### 2/5 — XY (Can’t) Find It *2019-08-01, version 5.0.1* Got this about 9 months ago and didn’t have any problems. Now it is a frustrating mess. 90% of the time it can’t find my device, even when I’m standing right over it, and the 10% of the time it locates the device, it doesn’t make any noise (which I was told was supposed to be the best feature). I live in Dallas. Any tracker that is more than 3 feet away cannot be found with this software. Little to no help online. Save ur money!! ### 1/5 — Useless for me *2019-05-26, version 5.0.1* I have no issues with either the COIN app nor the xy network app yet this app just doesn’t work for me as it can’t seem to detect my brand new sentinel. It’s the newest one with 4 holes, number 4, and the button and while my coin app and xy network app can detect it, this app cannot as much as I’ve tried and I really want to make use of the find it technology. I enjoy mining and all but the whole thing would be a lot more useful to me if it could detect my XY4 sent -_- **Developer response:** Hi Chris. Your device can be either a SentinelX or an XY4+ but it cannot be both because the two devices work very differently. When you convert your XY4+ to SentinelX using the XYO Network app, you'll see a warning which reads, "Do not update this device if you use it with the XY Find It app." Please contact us via support.xy.company if you have any questions. Each time I open the app to find the device, it is always “searching”. not sure what the problem is but it can only occasionally find a device. Help! ### 1/5 — Not a GPS device *2019-04-03, version 5.0.1* Bought this when saw add on Instagram. Add shows putting it on a vehicle then person tracking it on maps on iPhone. Not realistic. It only works on Bluetooth, so maybe 30ft range. The iPhone app does this also sometimes. They simply don’t work. I can ask to locate something in the room I am in no luck. It reported lost. I am 5 feet from my kindle reported lost. if my cell phone is close it will locate it. Has a hard time finding the devices when sitting right next to them. As I speak, I’m looking at my suitcase which is no more than 15 feet from me and my phone can’t, “FIND IT!” I am also looking at my backpack which is no more than 25 feet from me and my phone can’t, “FIND IT!” I’m disappointed with myself for buying a number of these things without simply buying one to test it out. I would have saved my time and money. So, I’m literally sitting right next to my backpack right now and my phone shows that there’s no connection!😳😳. When I press the button on the tracker, it rings my phone and it shows full connectivity. Bummer! The email link to verify produced a “page not found”. I emailed for support and got another email that told me that the support email was no longer support. (Sigh). How you have a 4.3 rating is beyond me. My girlfriend recently bought 4 of the most expensive ones you sell. I have one attached to my truck keys and one attached to my car keys. I couldn’t find either earlier today. My girlfriend reminding about the XY finder I had attached to each of these items. One was in a draw that I was literally 2 feet away from and it said out of range. Absolutely ridiculous. I’ve never given anybody one star. And feel bad about doing so. But your product is horrible. **Developer response:** Hi there. We only currently sell one model of XY Finder, so please note that they are all the same price. The potential range of the XY4+ finder is approximately 300 feet, conditions permitting. The results you experienced are not typical nor what we expect to see. A range of less than two feet indicates either a technical problem or a need for technical assistance. I would have to borrow my husband’s phone to call mine and locate it, and he was getting increasingly irritated with me.
