Would be nice to have Tracks to Build longer melodies. The random Melodie morph is a Bit too random, so here i want to have More Control, Saveing a random Version to work With and so on. Xynthesizr lets me transpose the patterns within the chosen scale and change note durations real time eg from 16ths to 8ths and record the resultant midi out into Xequence so I can export midi file discoveries back into Ableton. It gives more flexibility to up up and down the scale when improvising. Was not disappointed, easily obtained great results with 5 mins of starting up. So easy to use and a sequencer / arpegiator tempo that goes to 999 bpm with transposition, perfect for large evolving pads. Well worth buying as is, but could be the king of the IOS castle if it added a way to tie notes together, audio channels and AU3 compatibility. Lazy & greedy. Buy Thumbjam instead. ### 2/5 — No development for years already *2025-03-21* Good sequencer and synth but I don't think the developer is interested in developing the app anymore. No auv3 support or other updates for years! E.g. on iPad os 18 the synchronization with AUM does not work well. Too bad. Wäre ein toller Mehrwert wenn es solch eine Funktion gebe. Makes great generative music and is an excellent sequencer. My only wish is that it would respond to midi program changes send from other midi sequencers. ### 3/5 — Fun generative app but unstable *2017-07-08* The app consists of a matrix that is used as sequencer to play notes at different octaves at given scales. The notes can be sent to different midi channels that eventually can be routed to different synths or gears. It also includes an internal synth. The main issue that I am having with the app, is that the sound disappears after a present change and I eventually have to restart the app to have sound. This happens quite often with the internal synth sounds. Also midi routing doesn't work all the time. Furthermore, I don't find the app inspiring because of the workflow. The matrix is pre quantized and it seems unclear to me how to merge multiple boxes to obtain quarter notes or longer notes. I prefer the app ChordFlow in that regard. If you have ever shared files between devices or friends you know the problems a decimal can bring. This is when you need fine tuning! Unfortunately fine tuning control only changes the number before the decimal. Maybe the dev needs to Google what fine tuning means? Idk I hate anything that is not exact BPM. I liked the app so much that I purchased the other two apps by this developer. ### 5/5 — Best step sequencer *2021-06-22* Easy to use, stable, fast to program; use it to control your other iPad synths and drum machines. Visually, you can be looking at up to four different MIDI outputs simultaneously on one screen interface, which can be very helpful: bass, drums, keys x 2 for example. Also good for real-time tweaking of sequences on the fly. 32-steps, you can choose seq. length, so odd time signatures like 9/8 are no problem, which is a BIG plus. Internal synth is actually pretty good too. Velocity programming is a breeze, would love to see that extended to other modulation, filters or volume. This also has very robust generative features. ### 5/5 — krass gut *2021-05-28* ich bin eigentkich kein fan von ios App Musik. Ich muss edoch sagen, dass mich das hier wirklich überzeugt hat. Es ist so simple und straight forward. Selbst meine Töchter ( 7, 10 ) haben super spass damit. Der preis ist absolut gerechtfertigt. Egal was man macht, es kommt immer was schönes dabei raus.
