I am unable to select the plus sign to create a new collection. Also, if I hold down on a recent save and select add to collection, it does nothing. Would love to see this fixed so I have more organization. **Developer response:** Hey Blair! So sorry this is happening! I would love to take a look at what is going wrong so we can fix it. Sincerely, Christian from Yaay ### 4/5 — Good idea..if it worked *2026-04-02* **UPDATE** After being able to complete the onboarding process, the app has been easy to use so far. It’s pretty intuitive to save reels to your selected location. I like that you can create files under each location. What I find a little frustrating is that unless you include people when you first set up your trip location, there doesn’t seem to be any way to add people or share the information. I also was disappointed that you can only have three trip locations at once. All this said, I have not been able to try the app in the wild yet. I’ve started my lists, and can’t wait to put them to use. I was excited to try this app. However, after spending nearly half an hour trying to access it with two different validation codes sent and neither of them actually allowing me to even access the app. **Developer response:** We’re really sorry the app didn’t work when you tried Yaay 😢 Happy to say the issue is fixed and everything is running again. I have some ideas for improvement I will share with them. ### 5/5 — Great app! *2026-03-30* At first there were bugs to the app. Now, the developers have taken time to work and fix on them which has completely fixed everything. This app is truly unique and will help you plan and book activities for your trip. I especially love the different categories you can make in your board so I can choose different cities for one trip board. Still a few hiccups. I wish the app showed the world rather than my current location when I first open it, since I’m mostly saving locations in other places and I have to zoom out manually to find my saves on the map (unless there’s a trick I’m missing other than clicking on the individual saved video). But I love the idea and it’s so cool seeing all these places actually on a map. ### 5/5 — Onboarding is broken *2026-03-30* Updated review: it works now! They fixed it :) Original review: Can't review the app itself because I simply can't get in to try it. I love it so far! I’ve added over 60 reels and TikTok’s and they show up on the map! I installed it a bit nervously because there were only low ratings, but honestly I can’t understand why. If I had to point out one thing, the ads that use fake stories like “A Japanese store clerk told me about this app” feel sketchy, so I think you should stop using them. Also, I’d love to see support for languages other than English. Having to reload multiple times. Log out, try again, log out, try again. Once you're setup, everything is slow to propagate to the system. I added 10 videos that took at least a few hours to register. I see the vision though. I wont give up on the app just yet. Otherwise a really great idea with lots of potential. Works well with Instagram so far! Once the videos did finally upload, it worked exactly how its expected. Don't give up team! Update: Within two days of having the app I've already noticed massive improvements with speed and functions. Update: The app works perfectly 🥲. Videos uploading within seconds. An app that I didn’t know how much I needed. However they’ve ruined the entire thing with the new update. Putting videos into the wrong groups and I’m unable to remove them. It is completely messing things up. Appreciate if you get back to us Sincerely, The Yaay Team ### 1/5 — Useless *2026-04-07, version 2.24* Can’t even create an account ### 1/5 — Still horrible *2026-03-31, version 2.23* It’s a great idea and the couple of times I got it to work a while back by restarting the app it was great, but I got tired of trying to force it to work and deleted the app. I then got an email saying that they had fixed the issues so I figured I’d try it out again and I still can’t get past the login screen. Anders & Christian Founders of Yaay ❤️ ### 1/5 — Useless *2026-03-29, version 2.21* Broken app doesn’t work ### 1/5 — Onboarding broken, and then it works poorly *2026-03-28* So at first I couldn’t even get into the app as submitting my name would end up in an endless spinner. I came back the next day and was able to finish the onboarding so, great! 👍 However, I tried sending some items to it, and it looks like the AI incorrectly identified the location solely based on the video information. It chose Kyoto as the spot and a restaurant completely unaffiliated with the video. The description of the video even gave the full address and location (which is in Fukuoka, a completely different area of Japan) and the AI under the hood decided it was Kyoto. How are we supposed to trust this app if you can’t even read the actual description for the real information and instead just try to use a buggy, hallucinogenic AI on the video itself? There should be a priority list set up to determine the location: check the description first, then proceed to the video. Good idea. Terrible execution. **Developer response:** We’re really sorry you had this experience 😞 That’s definitely not the experience we want people to have when using Yaay. We’re constantly working on improving our AI pipeline to make the results more accurate, and feedback like yours is very helpful for us. The issue with onboarding should also now be fixed. I spent a good chunk of time going through saved folders on instagram and sharing all the posts that are buried there to yaay where they can actually be useful!! It’s not only good for travel, but for saving new restaurants and fun activities in my home city. 10/10 use of tech imo, bravo team. One feature request would be to be able to zoom into the interactive map and click on the pre populated points of interest to be able to save them like that, it would be more intuitive. ### 5/5 — App Won’t Let Me Sign Up - FIXED *2026-03-31, version 2.23* Update: they seemed to have fixed the issue! I was able to create an account and am loving the app! This app has so much potential and I really want to be able to try it out! Unfortunately, I can’t even get the app to let me create an account. It asks me to enter an email so it can send me a code in order to sign up, but I never get the code. I’ve tried 3 different email addresses, but sadly I never receive the code at any email I try.
