## What is YachtFinder?

YachtFinder is every boat for sale, from every brokerage we can reach, in one place.

Nearly sixteen thousand records from 190+ brokerages, over 9,000 of them currently for sale, searchable together — because no brokerage will show you a competitor's listings. Compare a hull against the whole market instead of against one broker's shelf.

Nearly every listing carries a modelled value, and we say plainly what that model is and is not — where we lack the builder, length or year, the app says so instead of guessing. Where a yacht has broadcast an AIS position we show it with the age of the fix, never as "live". Where we don't know something, we say so rather than filling the space.


WHAT'S INSIDE

The Atlas
The hulls that broadcast a position, plotted where they were last seen. Tap a pin and the fix is dated on its own page. Most yachts under 300 gross tons are never required to carry AIS, so the map shows a minority of the fleet — deliberately, rather than inventing pins for the rest. No login needed.

Yacht Detail
Every vessel has a page: hull and dimensions, build year and yard, asking price, listing broker, last-known position where we have one, and the cleanest photography we can source. Compare up to four boats side by side.

Buyer Brief
Generate a private written summary of any yacht: provenance, what she is, why she's listed, and what to ask. Reads like something your broker would prepare, and it writes itself while you watch. AI-generated and labelled as such in the app.

Watchlist
Save vessels you're tracking. Price drops and listing changes surface when you next open the Watchlist, and saved searches can send an optional email digest.

Spot a Yacht
Point your camera at a vessel — anchored in the harbor, or drifting past your dock. The Spot module attempts to identify the hull, its builder, its length and build year, and tells you how confident it is. Camera processing runs on our servers and a third-party vision provider; no biometric data is stored.

Inquire
When you find the one, send the inquiry. Where we hold the listing broker's address it goes straight to them; otherwise our team routes it on, and the app tells you which happened rather than claiming a delivery we cannot stand behind. No AI posing as a broker, no spam funnels.

WHO IT'S FOR

YachtFinder is built for the people who buy and the brokers who sell. The inclusion floor is $100,000+ asking — or price on application from an established brokerage. We don't carry speculative listings.

The catalogue is broader than the flagship end, and we'd rather say so than let "superyacht" do the work: the median hull is about 17 metres, and roughly seven in ten are under 24 metres. A 24-foot centre console and a 75-metre Feadship are both in the catalogue, and the app opens on all of it rather than quietly hiding the smaller end behind a default filter.

A minority of hulls carry an AIS position we can show, and we show it with the age of the fix we hold: "AIS fix 5 days ago", never "live". Most yachts this size are under 300 GT, so SOLAS V/19 never requires AIS at all; a yacht that isn't broadcasting is complying with the law, not hiding. Where we have no position, the app says so rather than guessing.

Version 1.1.

Most of this release is about the app being honest with you and usable with VoiceOver. Two of the fixes below were things we had already "fixed" once — the change had been made in a place where it could never take effect.

If you use VoiceOver:
- On the Brief tab, the button that stops a running brief was unreachable. The panel was grouped in a way that hid everything inside it, so a brief that can run for a minute could be started and not stopped. It is reachable now.
- The section navigator on a yacht's page, the voyage-history filters, and the builder-lineage rail had the same problem: their contents were announced as a single block instead of as the buttons they are.
- A saved-search row reported a larger tap target than it actually had. The fix for that had been applied to the outside of the button, where it does nothing.

Accurate where it was not:
- A yacht listed in euros or pounds, opened from a dot on the map, showed our dollar conversion as if it were the broker's own asking price. It is now shown in the currency the broker published, or clearly marked as a conversion.
- "Under 24 hours" could appear on a hull that has already sold. Roughly half the boats carrying a recent position are sold or reference-only, so this was common rather than rare.
- Blocking a conversation removed it from your inbox but left it in the count above it — so the header could say one conversation over an empty list.
- The Fleet tab's promotional rails could show sold boats you had just filtered out, directly beside "No vessels found".
- An "AIS Live" badge was showing a number nothing was feeding.
- A message could say "Sent" while it was still in flight.

At larger text sizes:
- The Brief tab's filter chips were measured without any width limit, so rows ran past the edge of the screen and the layout was clipped. At the largest accessibility sizes the tab was effectively unreadable.
- The charter desk had glyphs pinned at a fixed size beside labels that grow.
- On the Spot results screen, the alternates card cut off its own text at the default size, and three panels with no camera in them were hiding the status bar.

Widget:
- The price slot printed a whole sentence into a space meant for a number.
- A location with no confirmed source rendered beside the AIS dot as though it were a sighting.
- "Couldn't read your watchlist" appeared for two states that were not failures.

Privacy:
- The screen that asks for camera access described where photos go. It named our own servers and not the fact that a third party performs the match. It now says so.

Version 1.0.9.

Mostly things that were saying more than we could back up, and controls that were harder to find or to undo than they should have been.

- Fixed: the daily saved-search email re-ran a different search than the one you saved. A search saved by name only matched the entire catalogue, and a multi-region search quietly ran as one region. It now honours every filter you set — or sends nothing rather than the wrong thing.
- Fixed: in Spot's augmented-reality view, a yacht's name was drawn straight onto the camera image with nothing behind it, so it disappeared against bright sky or a white hull. It now sits on a plate, like the on-screen labels do.
- Fixed: the sell and seller-brief forms collected your name and email without saying, on the form, who receives them and what they are used for. They now say so before you type.
- Fixed: "Clear" on a comparison wiped a deck you may have built over several sessions, with no confirmation and no undo. It asks first.
- Fixed: the sell screen showed an estimated time to sell. We hold no sale dates, so we could not have known it. Removed.
- Fixed: when you were signed out, a watchlist loaded from a saved copy did not say it was saved — so yesterday's asking prices looked live. The "saved N hours ago" note now appears for everyone.
- Fixed: several cards and controls had no visible edge against the surface behind them, including the offline notice and the buttons on the yacht screen's bottom bar.
- Fixed: more buttons below the size Apple asks for — the Look Around button on the map, the map's suggestion chips, and the Terms and Privacy links on the sign-in screen.
- Fixed: the search fields in the concierge and its launcher had placeholder text too faint to read.
- Fixed: some type on the season and market screens was smaller than our own floor, including the twelve month labels on the tide dial, which are what you tap.

We publish what we do not know as carefully as what we do. About one hull in twelve carries a position we can show — 1,419 of 17,799, or 8.0%, measured 27 August 2026 — and we date every one of them.

### 1.0.8 — 2026-08-27

Version 1.0.8.

Accuracy fixes, mostly. A few of them mattered.

- Fixed: the map drew every yacht a fraction above where it actually was. Pins now sit on the position they report.
- Fixed: asking a location by voice ("yachts in Monaco") returned nothing, because search only ever looked at names and builders. It now reads the port and country too.
- Fixed: some yachts were labelled as having broadcast a position in the last 24 hours when the timestamp was our own refresh, not the vessel's. Those now show the age of the real fix, or nothing at all.
- Fixed: the map's loading line described the catalogue, not the map. Every dot on the Atlas is a hull that broadcast its own position — the caption now says exactly that, and matches the coach mark one screen away.
- Fixed: signing in on a smaller text size, or with the text size turned up, could push the form off screen with no way to scroll. A failed sign-in also said nothing out loud to VoiceOver.
- Fixed: the welcome tour's last step pointed at the wrong button.
- Fixed: search results were announced only by a sound, which is the one channel a VoiceOver user cannot hear.
- Fixed: length and year sliders lost their value readout in Dark Mode.
- Fixed: several buttons and links were smaller than they should have been, and a few labels were too faint to read against their own background.
- Charter: tapping a region with nothing in it now says so before you tap, instead of after.

We publish what we do not know as carefully as what we do. About one hull in eleven carries a position we can show — 1,617 of 17,703, or 9.1%, when this was written — and we date every one of them.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-07-18

Accuracy and reliability improvements:
• More honest listing details — value and market cues only appear when the underlying data actually supports them.
• Prices, currencies, and units display more consistently across the app.
• Saved yachts, watchlist, and Spot-a-Yacht behave more reliably.
