Sending your certificates to a crew agent should take a minute, not an evening of renaming files. YachtSync files them all, tracks what expires when, and exports the lot named the way the agent asked. Free for crew. Always. TRY IT WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT Tap Try it first and start adding certificates. No email, no card. Add an email and password when you are ready, and everything you added stays with you. SCAN INSTEAD OF TYPING Photograph a certificate or upload a PDF. The AI reads the title, expiry date, document type and issuing authority. You check it and save. The free plan includes 3 AI scans in total, 50 MB of storage and 20 certificates, and needs no card. KNOW WHAT IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE Every certificate colour-coded at a glance. Teal for valid, amber for expiring soon, red for expired. A six-month renewal timeline shows what is coming, so you can book the course before it fills up. Push notifications 90, 30 and 7 days before an expiry date, plus reminder emails at 90, 60, 30, 14 or 7 days. THE CERTIFICATES IT KNOWS 77 types, with rank and refresher variants. STCW, Certificates of Competency for deck, engineering and electro-technical, medicals including ENG1, Cayman and Marshall Islands, GMDSS, RYA, HELM, ECDIS and WSET. Competency variants follow the MCA's own structure. One Certificate of Competency card holds every endorsement you hold, OOW Unlimited to Master Unlimited, EOOW to Chief Engineer, the way your physical certificate holds them. SEA TIME, DAY BY DAY Set your vessels up once, sign on, then tag each day as sea days, watchkeeping, standby, shipyard or onboard non-qualifying. Recurring mode fills days forward, so you do not have to open the app daily. Onboard service and qualifying sea service stay as two separate totals, the standby and shipyard caps are applied to the qualifying figure, and raw days sit beside credited days. Export as PDF or CSV, and your totals feed the Careers tab, which shows the gap to your next ticket. It is your own record, not an MCA-recognised testimonial, and YachtSync does not verify or countersign sea service. SEND IT THE WAY THEY ASKED Set your file naming format once and every certificate downloads with the right filename. Export the whole portfolio as a ZIP in a few taps, then send it to an agent, a captain or a recruiter. COVER PAGE FOR YOUR FOLDER Generate an A4 cover sheet for the front of your physical cert folder. Every certificate listed and colour-coded, with a blank column to write in which folder page each one lives on. SHARE WITH NO SIGNAL Certificates save to your phone as you add them, so you can share one at sea with no signal. Sign in on a new phone and everything is there. Add your certificates, scan up to three with AI, and see how it works first. When you are ready, add an email and everything you have already added stays on your account. Settings and profile are now separate Two clearer screens instead of one long one. Your profile sits behind your name on the dashboard, settings behind the cog next to it. Also in this version Bulk Upload now explains what it does before asking you to upgrade, rather than jumping straight to the plans screen. ### 1.03 — 2026-07-19 Sea Time Tracker. Log your sea time day by day against each vessel you serve on, with categories aligned to MCA MSN 1858 and Nautilus International's sea service definitions: Sea Days, Watchkeeping, Standby, Shipyard and Onboard. Add past trips from earlier in your career, not just your current posting. Export a PDF or CSV summary whenever you need one for a PYA or Nautilus submission. Free, always. ### 1.02 — 2026-07-04 Your training, now inside the app. The full YachtSync Training Directory is built in. Browse 89 training providers in one place, with real course dates and prices for STCW, RYA, engineering, deck and interior courses, then book directly with the school. And when one of your certificates is coming up for renewal, the app now points you straight to a course to renew it, so nothing catches you out on the dock. YachtSync stays free for crew. Point your camera at a certificate and the app now detects the page edges automatically, straightens and sharpens it, and reads your details far more accurately.
